I am a lefty and I have 3 bows right now 1st is a Lode Star made by a fellow trad ganger that goes by the name defiant on here very sweet shooting bow very quiet and fairly fast with excellent accuracy . 2nd is a fred bear kodiak mag sweet little bow 3rd is a voodoo kustom elk bow super quiet very fast and super accurate I love my 1st and 3rd bows these bows and will go to the grave with them or will at least be with me til i am there . the k mag is nice fun to shoot but couldnt promise I would get rid of it .

I'm a lefty too, I have a Bear Montana Long bow and then I shoot my own creation, a recurve. I like my recurve better than the long bow. :thumbsup:

I am right handed, left eye dominate. I started shooting left handed in 2000, haven't looked back. My bow choices are listed below, I guess all thoses years of shooting right handed, and being left eye dominate weren't a complete waste.....

Left hand, right eye.... Started shooting lefty long before anyone talked about eye dominance (at age 5). Can shoot righty (always chaps my buddies when I borrow their bows and outshoot them when they try to 'snooker' me on stumps)...but can only handle heavy bows on the left side. If you look at your target, the eye dominance thing can be overcome.
Mostly Widows, with a few ole classics and other stuff thrown in.

Lefty here! My handle kinda gives it away. I have an A&H ACS CX, a Black Widow PLGA, a Hoyt riser Quarf, and a DAS Master that is currently for sale on the auction site. I also am on the custom list for a bow from O.L. and hope to one day get it. My PLGA and ACS are both "pry from my cold dead hands" type of bows. I have owned and shot a lot of bows the last couple years, but these two bows will always be with me. I would like to shoot a Centaur sometime. One of the few off my top ten list I have yet to ever get to shoot. Would love to own another A&H and one of Bob's new foam limbed Morrison's. There is getting to be quite a few lefties around and the used market seems flooded with lefties right now.

I'm a lefty as well,,,, in everything in life but shooting (bows or guns).
Write, throw a ball, hit a baseball, drive, ect, ect is all left handed..

Shoot left handed - lost my right eye in a shooting accident in 1963. Three Fox long bows, 1 Fox recurve - Ten or so Bear Takedowns and recurves. Plus a few others, but the Fox Longbows and occasionally my old Bear Takedown are my 'go to' bows.

Hey guys, another lefty here in sunny AZ. I just sold three of my custom bows last month for a lefty ACS CX and it was the greatest sacrifice I ever made. I have shot many, many bows over the last 20 years and this one blows my mind!

I shoot several bows. At this time my primary is a 58" Bob Lee TD Hunter 53#/28", followed by a 60" Kota Prairie Swift 55#/29", 60" CM H2 53#/28", and a 62" early design Kota TD recurve, 49#/28".
Just to have a new bow to fiddle with during the long ND Winter and to reward myself for a promotion to Deputy Chief, I ordered and have in transit a 58" Chiron Volcano 50#/28".
I'm strongly considering taking some of the raise and getting a "real" reward in the form of a 58" Great Plains SR Swift...

I shot RH until I had cataract surgery and my left eye became so dominant that I couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a snowshovel. Switched to LH - much better. I write RH, shoot a rifle Rh (the only way allowed by the US Army) and a pistol left and for the occassional softball game bat left.
I shoot Leon Stewart bows, 3 long bows ranging from 35# to 50# and a recurve at 48# - all at 28". Leon makes magnificent stuff.

Two year convert to lefty bow. I shoot guns, eat and write left-handed but use tools and throw right handed. Not ambidextrous, just confused.
My first bow was a right-handed longbow my Grandmother gave me so I grew up shooting righty. Eye problems forced the switch to lefty.
Far West longbow and a Samick T/D Woodsman. Looking for a 3pc longbow this summer.

I'm a Southpaw too. Got a Bear Montana longbow in 55#, an old Bear Kodiak Hunter at 45#, an Old Ben Pearson at 55#, and have an Owl Bow on the way at 50#.
Oh yeah, I still have the compound sitting in the closet getting dusty too. It's a Hoyt at 60#, for what that's worth. And an aincient Bear Polar Limited compound that was my first bow. I disremember its draw wt.

I am a lefty and have a 62" Autumn Oak PMA Black Widow that pulls 49lbs @ 28" and I also have a 60" Bighorn Recurve that pulls 55lbs @ 28". Hail to the sinisterly inclined!!!

I am right handed but left eye dominant. Made the switch within the last 2 months to Left handed shooting. I have a Bear takedown and a Robertson Buffalo Bow. Really love the way the Robertson handles and shoots. I have a RH Robertson and wanted a LH when I made the change.

thanks for the kind words. My Dad wasn't too much of an outdoorsman but did just enough to really ignite a fire in me. I have his Bear Grizzly right here now and truly cherish it. You are so right...today might be THE day. I felt like a pretty good shooter RH but the switch didn't take any time at all to get use to and feels just so natural. I read GFA book on shooting and his writings in TBM and he said that if you are left eye dominant you need to shoot LH. I don't know enough to argue with him so I switched right after hunting season. Thanks John

I'm a lefty just getting back in tradtional, need suggestions on good bow
