I just wanted to drop a note to Ted that all could see.
First, he's been a big help in my process of adopting this new "hobby" of traditional archery. He even pointed me to this site.
Second, I've been teaching a friend of mine how to make arrows (which I learned to do from Ted). As a result of this, I've needed to make a couple quick orders from Raptor Archery. Ted put everything together for me in an incredibly quick fashion, and even went above and beyond by shipping me out some of his own cresting paint since the store was out of stock. I received everything just in time to go to my workshop and teach my friend.
I've now got a dozen arrows drying on the line in the shop, and my friend has learned a great deal about being more self-sufficient when it comes to traditional archery. An added bonus is that my buddy and I have gotten in a lot of target practice between dye/paint/sealant coats.
It may have been possible without Ted's help, but certainly not as easy. I appreciate the help and incredible service.
Thanks Ted.
Ivan
Yep Ted is a good help all right. He sent some gear over to me here in Oz... no troubles at all.
I'll use Raptor whenever I can from now on.

Hey Bjorn , when are you and Adam going to go pig hunting? Looks as though we will be doing the bow building class in Santa Inez for the Chumash people again in March , we should set something up around Coalinga.
Ted, that looks like a cool shop. Lots of nice goodies as well as a great place to hang out. Would you mind posting more pics of it? I'd like to see those shoulder mounts, too! :wavey:
I am working on that very thing Woody .
I am setting up to do a virtual tour of the shop and museum. Stay tuned .
Better yet come on up and we can sit and break rocks together.
Well since both Ted and Woody(knife river) are here I will show off their creations that I will be using next year.

Chris, I want the points back. And don't bother taking them off the shafts. I'll take them "as is." ;)
Ted, those arrows are gorgeous. :notworthy:
Look forward to breaking rocks with you one of these days. Maybe we can find a bear to chase around the woods, too. :campfire:
Hey Ted, looks like things are going well for you. Have you moved into your new location yet? How was fishing on the Klick this fall?
Ted, I don't know how many are in your party, or what your schedule is like, but we could talk about doing a Hog Hunt and bow build at Hog's Wild in Coalinga??

Could I play, too? That sounds like massive fun. :)
Ted is first class-
I got lucky enough to visit his shop last year....and YES, there a TON of cool stuff in there....don't plan on a ten minute visit, as you will be late to where ever you are going next.
Bjorn , just Jesse ( younger son) and I , probably about the end of March first of April , I have to be back by the first of April to get ready to guide spring bear again in May, we are doing the spring bear hunt / bow/building class again in May, matter of fact I need to post that here and get the ball rolling.
Woody feel free to tag along , your welcome anytime,
Chris are you going to be stateside by then and care to test one of those arrows , how does Curtis say that?" Piggy testing".
Ted, you have to tell me a little about this bow building, and hog hunt combo..... Pm me
Sorry Frassettor, Going to California to teach the Chumash tribal council , we did a bow building class for them last year and can you believe it , they want me back again , the hog hunt part will just be on my own so there is no Hog hunt / bow building right now , doesnt mean we cant figure out where and when to have one however. Any Ideas?
You are welcome to come and join the Bear hunt bow building class in Idaho in May however. Contact me at the store for more info 541-386-4503
