Title: SNOW!
Post by: del on December 11, 2008, 08:26:00 AM
It's snowing in South Mississippi!  It's crazy, never snows here, especially this early.  Ok, I know you Northern folks think I'm stupid but we don't get it here very often.   ><>  del  :campfire:

That white stuff sure opens the woods up for you and its nice to track deer on.
We've probably had over a couple of feet here started before Thanksgiving and the ground has remained pretty much white since.
Snow in South Mississippi. You think maybe Obama and the Dems went to far in fixing global warming.

it is not snowing in North Mississippi. Deer in the deep south seem to shut down when it snows, They don't know what it is !

It melted right off over my way  :(
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to have a full winter's worth, but a couple of weeks would be just right.  Where can you get that?  It is a real treat for us and my kids had a blast.  Kids get out from school here if it just gets icy - lol.  Folks were finding the median real easy on the interstate this morning.  Nobody know how to drive in the white stuff.  Bunch of rookies   :p

yup snow around new orleans is real crazy. Hasn't happened here in living memory. Flakes that melt sure, but only once every twenty years or so. We had snow that knocked out power and downed trees from the weight on branches today. That hasn't happened in who knows how long. Probably since before anyone had electricity to knock out in New Orleans. My grandma is 90 years old and said she never saw it and never heard of anything like it even when she was a kid.

Pretty weird to see my big live oak covered in snow this morning.
