By the way... not a bad bow, but not a great bow. Very servicable.

My first real recurve was an Indian, about 1968. I remember it well, orange glass and a maple riser, probably maple core limbs. Nothin' fancy but I harrassed the N Utah ground squirrels with it. Tried to shoot pheasants on the wing but never hit one. Wish I still had it.

My first hunting bow was an Indian Archery compound.  What a piece of crap.  But it did get me started  :)   Their recurves are pretty basic.  Made in Evansville, IN.

Here's some info on what the company has become:   http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/Escalade-Incorporated-Company-History.html

I remember indian archery! My older brother had a few of their bows and as a youngster I thought they were the coolest thing!
Like a few said they weren't the great, but they weren't the worst. The compounds were crazy; kinda looked like a recurve with chopped the limbs chopped off and put some wheels on it...literally..lol

I believe that Stemmler Archery acquired Indian Archery sometime in the early 70's.

I have one upstairs in the ashram.  Bought it at a garge sale for $3. Came with an original Bear bowfishing reel.  Put a new string on.limbs were is good shape and its a decent shooter.  40lbs and 28in.  Keep it handy for folks who might want to shoot but never have. Also used it when recovering from illness. Its good to have a bow such as this around, never know when it might come in handy.

I saw an ad for a laminated indian recurve in the classifieds of my local paper today.  The guy wants $100.  It seemed hight o me for a bow that is not really in demand.  What do y'all say?

Depending upon condition I wouldn't go over $50 but thats me. Check **** or other classifieds to see what the going price range is, I may be spoiled with my $3 bow.
