So I have been making cane arrows for a while now and have been on this site for some years and I figure I would like to share with yall some of my work.
The top arrow is stained with minwax red mohogany and tipped with a trade point i made from a circular saw blade. The feathers are goose and it is all tied in with artificial sinew. I know, not traditional, but I really hate pounding that stuff out.
The bottom one is tipped with a arrow head my friend from church found scuba diving in the river near Parris Island, SC. It is a real fishing tip so I made this arrow a footed arrow since that is probably what it came off of. I did not stain this one cause I wanted it natural looking. The splicing in the fletching was my first time doing that. It was easier than I thought.
Thanks guys for all your help through out the years and lets keep it going. I'll do a build along soon on one of these.
God bless you and God bless America.

great work . .. waiting for the build along
Nice river cane arrows. The spliced fletching looks great. I have done splicing with store bought feathers but not natural ones....yet!
Most of my Native artifact collection came from the Low Country of SC near Bluffton. Some from the banks of the Colleton River(now Colleton River Plantation) and some from the May River and its tributaries. If the wind was just right, we could hear the firing range at Paris Island as we searched for artifacts. Pat
