Bocote riser and Sassafras limb veneers over the Bamboo cores look sweet.
But how does it shoot?

Not bad for a first meeting. A second date perhaps?

Looks good dressed to kill.
Sweet! Im liking those bows. They're gonna ring bels in the future.
Is that one of Chad's creations? Awesome looking bow!
Sassafras is one of the nicest limb woods I've seen. Just different enough to stand out in a crowd and looks great next to that bocote.
It is the very first Holm-Made River Runner. Chad's personal bow he loaned me so I could try one out(he'd never hunted this one for shame!). 60" 52@28 the newer ones have a slightly shorter riser and they will be coming with D-97 strings instead of FF+ soon(I swapped his string for mine and the bow behaved mucho nice). Took a little fiddling to get her quiet to my liking and still in the hand at my 30" draw. Surprisingly fast for this style bow and I mean FAST! For starting out at $450 with a 1 year warranty these bows are a steal that folks are missing out on. He's going to be working on a 62" one at my prodding. I'll have one of his longbows in a week or so to run through the ringer. Didn't see any deer today but had a nice squirrel stew for supper. Simmons sharks do nasty things to squirrels so I opted to leave pics of those out. :scared:
Nice one!
AAAAHHHhhhhhhhhh!
Don't ya love it when Christmas comes early!!!
Chad makes a great bow. I love my Osprey two piece longbow with the Bow Bolt. The longbows are really fast too. David, you are in for a second treat when you get the Osprey.
Allan
Thanks for the kind words guys. I really do love building bows and like to see people enjoying the bows just as much.
Your right Herk, I am going to be around for a long time. I love the work and I have a real job that I enjoy that allows me to spend a lot of time building bows without being totally dependant on it. It makes for a nice situation for me and also for the customers.
Take care, Chad
That bow has a classy look to it !!!!!
Pete
I got to meet Chad last summer. His bows look good in pictures, but look alot better when you can see them in person. I also think they shoot better than they look. I shot at least 8 of his bows, and had a hard time decideing wich one i liked best. I ended up with one of his Osprey longbows. It is the smoothest bow i have ever shot.
Super Nice fella to talk to, really goes out of his way to please ya,, his Bows look incredible also !!!
I was pretty proud of my telescopic shipping boxes until today. I mailed a bow USPS to Alabama Friday. It showed up with 8" of limb sticking out of the side of the box. The postal lady told the customer that she thought I intentionally shipped the bow that way. :banghead: WHATTHEHECK!!
I will have to beef up the boxes I guess. I can't find carpet tubes big enough in diameter for my R/D bows. The customer refused to take the box so it's coming back to me for inspection. Good thing I had the bow insured.
Thanks again for the nice comments and a chance to vent. Chad
Very, very nice!!
OK, my turn..I finished a "river runner original" and it is faaasstt...smooooth.. and goes where I point it.. chad traded it to me for a dozen arrows..you make the call...(and that aint the 1/4 of it)..
Shawn...
Superb bow...I think I will be due for an Osprey very soon!

Sure, Chad listens when you say 62"... :D
I've been eyeing all his bows for awhile now
Chad,
I almost laughed out loud when the lady tried to argue that you shipped it that way. I told her no way and showed where the limb had punctured through the box. Oh well, it will all work out.
Folks, I want to take a moment and give a big kudos to Chad. He is great to work with and I can't wait to get my bow. I recommend him to anyone looking for a custom bow.
Too bad I had to refuse that bow the other day. The eight inches of zebrawood veneers showing sure looked sweet.
Man what a SWEET looking bow.I really like the clean thin apperance of it.
I like that quiver too.
