Title: Please recommend good kids' arrow maker
Post by: knife river on December 03, 2008, 07:20:00 PM
Santa's about to be in deep trouble...  I can't get in touch with the folks where I usually buy arrows for my son.  Can anyone recommend someone who makes nice wooden arrows for 10 year olds?  I'd like something nicer than the mass produced jobbers with the crimped-on points.

Thanks in advance!    :wavey:

I'd recommend you give Paul Jalon a call at Elite Arrows and see what he can do for you.

Also a sponsor here.

Mike Mecredy at Maddog Archery is the guy you want to talk to about kid's bows and arrows. He is very reasonable in his prices and tries to make equipment that all of us can afford for kids while still producing good quality. In addition, he is a TradGang sponsor.  http://tradstore.com/mta

No pressure, eh, Woody?...     :D
Hope Ross is OK.

What weight is Joe shooting these days? Bet he's taller than me by now.   ;)

Thanks for the help, everybody!  I've got some on the way.  (We need an icon for wiping nervous sweat off the forehead...)    :readit:

Killy my dear, Joe's growing like a weed and still cleaning me out when we shoot for money.        He talked about you when we were shooting yesterday.  And it was all nice stuff.  Kinda surprising, eh?    ;)    :wavey:

Oh, yeah, Killdeer, I also hope Ross is well.  He and his wife are great folks.  And they sure make some fine arrows.

Either Joe is learning to fib as well as he bets, or he is displaying that resilient human quality of only retaining positive memories versus the negative.   :p

Glad your money is flowing into good and responsible hands. You neatly sidestepped Joe's bow weight, BTW.

Hey Woody, Great going. I was in the same boat with my grand daughters last year. I liked the Black Rhino arrows best so that's what I bought. I also got my youngest a Mad Dog Pup recurve. If/when you get ready to buy another bow you should check Mike's bows out... He does a great job!

Take care buddy.
