I'm looking for a book that goes into the pros and cons of various bow design considerations. Such as recurve limbs, reflex, deflex, short limbs & risers, long limbs & risers, wide limbs, narrow limbs, various woods, synthetics, etc. Any good objective technical design or research books out there?
Try Traditional Bowers of America by Dan Bertalan. It may not be exactly the reading you are looking for but has some good info as to why some bowyers use the design they do. Hope this helps. Ron
As far as I was able to find there really isnt anything out there that goes into the subject at any depth
"Traditional Bowyer, More Unnecessary Fun" by Jack Harrison covers a number of the areas you list, but not all of them. Pretty long, redundant and expensive, but lots of good info.
