I purchased a Quinn Stallion Classic 45lb @ 28". I will be pulling 28", the riser is cut 5/16 past center and I will be shooting off the shelf. I want to shoot 150 grain woodsman broadheads with carbon shafts. Can someone give me some advice on what size carbon shaft I should buy and if I need to get some heavier inserts than the standard weight that comes with the shafts. What length shaft should I start out with? Thanks a million.
I think the GT 35-55 cut to 29.25 with 100gr brass insert and your 150gr heads should fly well.
Or the Beman MFX 500 with the same specs and weight inserts.
I also think Easton makes a 600 series now, cut to 29" and standard inserts with 150gr head would fly well. I'm just not sure of the total weight of the arrow.
Hope this helps,
Rob
Thanks Rob.
Go to the Gold Tip site and calculate the FOC. you can play with the BH weight and see what the spine will be.
