Title: Hoyt limb "upgrade"?
Post by: Ybuck on November 30, 2008, 05:10:00 PM
Any suggestions on limb upgrades for a Hoyt GM II?
I have 40#ers(which pull 43# at my dl)which are just fine. I'm looking for something around 50#.
Should i just go with the Hoyt limbs, or is
there others i should check out?
Thanks, Steve.

Go the the Lancaster Archery site and take a look at some of the limbs there.  A lot of folks like Winex limbs by Win and Win.

All I shoot anymore are ILF limbed recurves.Out of all the limbs I've shot,5 different top end limbs,I like the Winex the best.

They have good all around qualities but must be more stable than some to me as without a doubt,I am more accurate with the Winex limbs.

Look at WW Winstorms, KAP Challengers and CC Carbons. The challengers and cc carbons are no longer made, but the winstorms are similiar. I've also heard very good things about the sebastian flute carbon foam limbs. Personally I would stay away from the tradtech carbonwoods and I had a pair and was very disappointed with the performance and the noise.

Good Luck!
