Brent
I've had a tough time this year. This was my first year hunting with stone points.I got 1 doe and missed a huge buck.
I can't help myself, I have to ask.....Is their a story behind your screen name ?
Welcome. I'm curious also about the name.
Welcome to the fold!
I'd rather fight a bear than step on a snake. For some reason those little buggers about give me a heart attack when I step on them.Heck I even kill night crawlers thinking they may turn into a snake, LOL!!!!
I feel ya Mike. I feel the same way. The only good snake is a dead snake. Welcome to the gang.
Mike
Welcome to the :campfire: :coffee:
Welcome :campfire:
Just don't step on them. I'm sure they don't enjoy that.
Congrats on your doe!
Killdeer :wavey:
Howdy Afraid a snake - you're in the right place.
Once when I was about 10, I was walking next to my favorite fishing lake and found the world's best walking stick. It was straight and about as long as I am tall. Heck - I didn't even see any branches on it that I was going to have to trim. I picked it up and was about to pose triumphantly, when it looked at me - mouth open. I'm not sure who was more startled, me or the blacksnake (apparently *not* a walking stick after all). The last I saw of him, he was twirling in the air *way* out over the lake. He has probably landed by now though.
Cool name you have.
:bigsmyl:

Crazy mutt!
Welcome...I however LOVE snakes. I used to Live in kamloops BC - FULL of RATTLERS. Never had a bad experience with them, but they are something you just had to be aware of. They have their place on this earth just like the rest of the creatures.
Their are only 2 inate fears humans have....Loud noises and falling. The rest are learned. You can overcome them all with practice. Just like when I train my horse. If you want to get him so you can shoot a gun off him ...don't start with a 300 mag...start slowly and at a distance with a pellet gun. Then get closer, then beside...actually it works best if you actually move whatever bothers them away from them and let them follow it for a bit with lots of slack in the rope.
Your fear of snakes can be overcome the same way. Find a garter snake and have someone who is not afraid of snakes hold it and snowly you can get accustomed to it.
But only if you really want to change obviously.
Of course I live in the Yukon where ther are NO SNAKES..NO POSSUMS - NO SKUNKS - NO PIGS - NO TURKEYS - NO WORMS - NO PROBLEMS
Heck there's hardly any people...PERRRRRFECT
Acually we are out numbered by bears..yup more bears here than people if you lump them together
Anyway great to have you aboard
Jer Bear

Welcome to the gang, what took you so long? Didn't know you were afraid of snakes. I'm sure I'll have some fun with that someday.lol Thanks for getting me and my son involved in this traditional archery addiction. My wife thanks you too, every time she finds a package on the porch with another bow delivery. Ok, well maybe she doesn't really thank you. Bobby
I'm just the opposite. I hate spiders! :scared: I'd rather curl up with a snake than dance with a spider. :biglaugh:
Welcome, and enjoy the info and tales.
