Again Dr Ashby has done a fine job of passing on the information gained through experiance. This report seems to be more of a summary than anything but suggested reading for ALL bow hunters. I see it was mentioned again his study on low poundage bows - I am still waiting to see this as it interests me a LOT...
Anyonehave an idea when he may post findings or is he still 'testing data' ?
Our good Doc is set for major back surgery Dec. 8, so don't expect any new research from him for a while, though he WILL be back. However, he continues to study his existing data and provide updates and summaries -- before the back went out, often here at PowWow. For now, TBM is running a series of articles by and about Dr. Ashby and his work and results, reflecting his most current knowledge and ongoing efforts to reduce complex topics to a language that even I can understand. Watch for a Tanto tip feature soon, then an overview of EFOC, maybe a closer look at the weaknesses of mechanical heads for heavy game though now I'm surmising. YOu can access recent poast Ashby articles via TBM's website, but if you can handle the sometimes heavy physics and match, there are few better sources than the Ashby files here at Tradgang. Meanwhile, we all need to send Ed good energy for successful surgery and prompt and full recovery. dave
