I'm gonna order a 55# Mohawk from Vince. The lengths are 60-66 inches. I'm 5'7" and draw 28 inches. The only bows I've shot have been 62 inchers. When I shoot from one or both knees I barely clear the ground when I swing draw. I know the shorter one would be easier to get through the woods with but what else comes in to play? Is there finger pinch on 60" with my draw length? All comments appreciated. Thanks. Dan.
I have a 60" Chek Mate w/two sets of limbs, 36# and 53#, and draw 28". There is no finger pinch.
Dan @ 5'7" I'm guessing you are drawing less then 28... But I have been known to be wrong before.Got 2 EX's to prove it.... most of us sqeeze in an extra inch or so when we know someone measuring our draws.. me included...
60 inches would be fine for a 28 inch draw or less... I really would talk to the bowyer though.. he could recommend the length better then any of us.
you must have monkey arms!
I shoot my own home-made recurve. It's 58" long nock to nock and I have no finger pinch.
Dan, I am 5'6" and also draw 28 inches, and I don't have monkey arms. I do have very broad shoulders for my height which I think greatly contributes to draw length. I think you would be ok with a 60" bow, but I would go with the 62".
I draw 27" and I shoot two of Vince's bows, both at 64". I do have one 60" longbow (Morrison Shawnee), but the rest are 64" and longer. Give Vince a call, he is easy to talk with.
I've got one ordered ,and was considering a 60" but Vince suggested 62" I have a 28" draw length. I have a 58" Morrison Dakota, and a 60" Striker Slapstick that I shoot very well but Vince suggested 62" so that's what I went with. I had a 62" Mohawk and sure was sweet, give Vince a call.

Lt Dan, congrats on a great choice. I'm 5'9" and have a 27" draw. I have a 62" 2 piece Vince loaned me and a 64" one piece. I love them both.I want a 60"er and a 66"er too.Personally at that draw weight I would go with the 64"er.
I'm drawing a 64'' Mohawk about 28 & 3/4'' and it is silky smooth.
I could be overdrawn. I'm still learning this game. I used to draw 27 1/2. But my elbow was pointing at 5 o'clock. Better back tension got my elbow back to 6 o'clock and I only had 1/2 inch of arrow sticking out on 29 inch arrows. But I'd rather pull 58# and draw 27" then to be overdrawn. The arrow to chest thing comes to 27 3/4. LOL I do have monkey arms with wide upper body and chicken legs. :)
Vince will take care of you. Great bows from a great guy!
