Title: Shakespeare Bows?
Post by: Toklat1 on November 26, 2008, 07:39:00 PM
I have an old bow that I believe to be a Shakespeare.  It is 62" in length, No markings whatsoever and the Limbs are not twisted.  The face of it is Green glass and the back is white. The wood appears to be some type of hardwood and it has a flat shelf. Can any of you out there elaborate on these old bows ie, good shooters, problems, anything.  Thanks,

Your best bet is to ask this in the Trad History/Collecting forum. Make sure you provide pictures, because thats the first thing we (they) will ask for.

They're good shootin' bows for the money.  Great starter bow, at least it was for me.  Nothin' fancy, but for $75 or so, that's what I paid for mine, it was well worth it.
