I am wanting to know if anyone has tried Easton Epic 600 s for a hunting arrow ? I am currently using 30" 1916s with 125gr Stingers. 44Lbs@ 27".
I'm wanting something a little more durable for banging around in the brush. I seem to spend as much time straightening my aluminums as shooting them.
if you are pulling 44#s
the epics are good but would only weigh around 400 grains with 175 up front.
the carbon express terminator jrs are .628 spine , but only come in 28" length..they would be around 400 grains also with 175 up front.
the blackhawk vapor is around a .530 and if left 30" with 100 grain brass insert and broadhead..you'd be up over 500 grains...
just thought i'd throw a few carbon options at ya...hope that helps.
Full length 35-55 125gr point 4" fletch 420gr. I have not tryed the 600
I have built quite a few arrows for hunters usingthe Epic 600. It would be a good choice for you. They will give a good balance of enough weight and the need for some speed. If you can reduce your arrow length I woulld experiment a bit with different lenght and point weight combos to get perfect arrow flight.
