Title: Good youth bows?
Post by: James Wrenn on November 22, 2008, 07:01:00 PM
I have about let Christmas slip up on me again.

I need a couple of bows for a 10 and 11 year old.A lefty and righty.I would go with the Quinn comets but these two fellows are longbow guys and the 60" Comets are probably a bit long for them..  Anyone have suggestion for some bows in the 20 25lb range that will take good strings and can be had before Christmas?I just want something that shoots good and will get them through another year or two.I will build them what they want when they get a little older but just don't have the time now.I am not sure who makes and stocks the little bows. thanks

+ 1 on that. I purchased a Black Rhino for my kids a few years ago. It's been a great starter bow.

Ditto Maddog.  Got a grown-up one here too.  Mike is a great guy to deal with.

See Whisperstik bows. JD will make a custom kids bow for the price of a production bow. Good man too.

My four year old has a Elk Ridge Archery bow. I have seen many of his bows being used and they are top notch!
