I received my new to me Bears Paw Monday from a fellow tradganger and all I can say is WOW! What struck me first was how sleek the riser is. From the pictures I've seen on-line I expected a more bulkier riser . It was a perfect fit to my hand and while i had my reservations about the finger groves (I'm partial to checkering) I've got to tell you it felt like it was custom made for me. The workmanship is flawless, but the shootability is what really got me. It required no tuning as it shot my Arrow Dynamic Trad-Lites that i shoot out of my tip like darts. It points very naturally and hits where its pointed. No stacking, just a nice smooth consistent draw. I was tearing up the killzone on my 3D deer target from like I've been shooting this bow for years. I'll take some pic tommorrow to post .
and just were are the PICS!  <><

Mike, We've got to get together and fling a few. You're gonna like this bow....but it ain't going anywhere!!
I just started shooting a Bears Paw in June. I had Neil make me a TD longbow. And like you, all I could say was "wow" when I first shot it. Neil definitely has a great attention to detail.
they are beautiful bows, can't deny that .....
Okay, as promised here are a couple of pics of my Bears Paw. I'm in the process of dressing her up a bit with some of sticshooters td antler knobs, a string from Bobby Graham and some hush puppies.

Very nice. I got one coming soon. Been toying around for the last few years and finally committed to buying one after shooting one for an hour at a bow convention last spring. Will post pics and specs when it arrives. If you decide to let that one go, I want first dibs.

I have three Bearspaw bows, enjoy everyone of them. T/D longbow 67'@28" bocate limbs w/sheep horn tips and red elm riser. T/D classic recurve 65'@28" curly maple/snake skin limbs w/sheep horn tips and zebra wood riser. 56" Swift recurve 65'@28" bocate limb and cocabolla riser. Neil is a fine bowyer and good friend. The bottom three are Bears Paw bows. I am sure all that have one coming will be very happy.

I agree a 100%. I too picked up one from a fellow tradganger and fell in love with it. I can not say enough about the handle like you said it seemed like it was made with my hand in mind. Great bows and Excellent craftsmanship.
