For you guys that bird (other than turkey) hunt with your bows, what sort of arrowheads are you using? Do those bird points work? I'd like to start some more small game hunting, but not sure what kind of heads I need. I won't be using dogs, so I'm not worried about using broadheads, but thought maybe I could use something a little more economical. Thanks...Mike
I would say this game head works

The bird was taken from the Islands of Hawaii. Where they are legal. The Head is a modified rubber blunt tip.
I have also seen birds taken with judo points.
the last time I hunted flying birds I used flu-flus and "Snaro" points. They looked like a blunt with 4 circular wires coming out at right angles to the shaft. I killed a chuckar partridge on the wing with one.
When pheseant hunting I use 1.5" magnus broadheads that are not real sharp (so they dont cut my dog) on flu-flu arrows.I started using the broadheads because I have abunch of them. The fact that they are not real sharp dosent seem to make any differance when shot through a 2 lb bird from a 50# bow.

Thanks guys.
reddogge, the snaro points are what I was referring to (I think). I've seen em in two different sizes...Mike
the Snaros give you some margin of error on flying birds I feel.
