Title: I love my dog but
Post by: Old York on November 12, 2008, 08:39:00 PM
she can strip my flu-flu feathers off the arrow faster than a WV skins a tree-rat. Anything I can spray on the fletching to stop her? I'm trying to train her to find the arrows not ruin 'em. thanks

Tim,

We recently got a new puppy too. She doesn't chew on my fletching but she was chewing on her kennel a lot. Our vet recommended bitter apple spray. We were able to find it at Petsmart and Petco. I am sure you can find it at any pet store. I am not sure if it would mess up your feathers or not but you might try it....or just spray it on the nock and shaft of the arrow. Or maybe use an arrow she has already chewed on and it will train her not to chew on the others. Just an idea I thought I would  throw out there for you. Hope it helps.

Tabasco sauce!

Unless she's a really tough dog and likes it!

Man you don't want to put tabasco on my arrows or our little terrier will eat em.  She loves spicy stuff.  To get her to come to dinner all I have to say is "It's a little bit spicy" and she's at a dead run.

John Scifres, you are hilarious!
One more "t" would have changed things, eh?
