Finally got the monkey off my back this morning- have hunted 8-9 years with trad equipment, and had not taken a buck- until this morning....
I won't bore anyone with my life story- but I've been a very successful hunter with wheels and was trying to take a buck over 100 inches with my recurve for my first. I've taken 3 does, passed many little bucks and finally decided this was the year I remove the monkey once and for all. This morning it happened- good morning, used the primos can to work 3 small bucks past my stand and this guy was the proud "monkey remover".... 20 yard shot- took out both lungs. Bob Lee hunter- pulling it to 57 pounds, beman classic 400, gold tip weighted and 150 grain razorcap. He isn't the king of the woods, but I was certainly pleased when he went down about 30 seconds after the shot. (http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f217/drr324/tradbuck.jpg)
