I have a Thunderstick MOAB on the way that I got in a trade. It's 60" AMO, 58# @ 29". I draw 29.75"-30" and was a little worried about the bow being short for my draw. So, I called Jim Reynolds and he said the bow would handle my draw just fine, but he'd recommend a 62" model. He also said that he had some buddies that had the same draw as mine and they love the 60" model. So, I guess just personal preference.
My question is: Any of you guys with a draw lenghth of 30" shot both models? Was there much difference in shootability, stability, and comfort?
I've shot 60" recurves just fine with no finger pinch problems.
Thanks, Mike

Mike,
I have a 60 inch and I draw just a tad over 29. It is a fine shooting bow that doesn't pinch me at all. I am considering another.

Thanks Dave Pagel. Does it seem stable out at further distances?
Anybody else?
Thanks, Mike

Deja Vu, I've seen this somewhere else. Just send that bow to me Mike, you're going to hate it and pay no attention to the fact that I have a 30" draw. LOL

vermonster13, LOL!
I almost PMed you to see if you've shot one and what you thought of it at your draw.
Take care...Mike

Rawhide,
Mine is 54# @ 28 and I shoot 65-70 Sitka Spruce arrows that weigh in at 540 grains with 145 Snuffers or Eclipse 4-blades. I took two deer with it this year, but my long shot was 21 yards. I have shot it at targets out to 40 yards and I have no issues with the cast, stability or other shooting characteristics. Great bows.

I love mine. I don't have a 30" draw, but I haven't shot a bow this well in a long time.

I have had on since Jul 06. 62# @27" shots better than I know how. Generally, half the bow length is recommended max draw length. Jim has relatively long arms I'd go with his recommendation. Mine pushes tapered POC, 2020 Easton, and Beman 400 ICS all weighing 620/30 grains out very smoothly and quiet. POC come out at 189 f.p.s., 2020 at 192 and Beman at 197. Named it "augenblick" German for blink of the eye. At 20 yards the string thump and arrow hitting the target are indestinquishable.
