Title: Double Bull Repair Question
Post by: T Folts on November 07, 2008, 09:07:00 AM
I have a Darkhorse and somehow stuck a broadhead tru the fabric. Any suggestions how to repair it so it wont get any bigger over time. I thought about a tent repair type kit but figured I would ask here.

Thanks
Terry

Just sew the cuts back and use an iron on patch inside.

I did the same thing at least 6 years ago Terry.  I didn't even sew it.  I just used an iron on patch on the inside as suggested.  No issues to date.

I have a couple of fabric blinds I repaired with military grade "duck" tape. This stuf is 10X stickier than the regular stuff and an olive drab green. I patch over the hole inside and out with the tape. I have one patch that is 4 years old and still holding.

Just FYI, I have even used this stuff as a field expediant patch on waders. I have one pair with the tape patch in place now for two seasons and still no leak.

Um, you're supposed to shoot through the windows  :readit:    :p
Seriously, I ended up with a couple of holes in one of mine (long story).  Got a piece of fabric from Double Bull and glued it on using 3M spray adhesive that comes in an aerosol can.

Whip,

You're kidding! The windows?

I think most of the holes in my blinds come from critters chewing on them. I tend to leave my blinds in place for most of the season once I get them brushed in. I suppose mice or field rats chew their way in to get at my peanut-butter crackers or something.

Thanks for the advice though, my arrows might fly better now.

Sarcasticly yours,
OkKeith

Black denim iron on patch from the inside works great! CKruse

If it's high enough, cut it nice and round, sew in a border and netting, and turn it into a custom peep hole.
