aaaah this helps alot!!! =]
huh....
neat.
WOW THAT WAS COOL, WISH GRANDPA WOULD HAVE SHOWED ME THAT ONE, I 'VE BEEN DOIN IT THE HARD WAY ALL THESE YEARS
Wait a minute...did he just do all that without cutting at all?
awesome ! Can you do that with a deer ?
ChuckC :bigsmyl:
slick
That was cool!
kool, I will have to do that if I can find any wabbits
awesome!
That was cool! I honestly thought it was a joke when I saw the guy's hat and glasses. I was waiting for Red Green to come jumping out of the bushes.
THAT was too clean and un-frustrating...it has to be trick photography... :knothead:
 Thank You for posting that one..
What a neat deal! I'm gonna have to go rabbit hunting just so I can try that out. Thanks, WE
Chuck...
I bet you could do that with our southern deer. They're close to the same size as that rabbit.
I'd be willing to try it like that, but I wonder how many I would totally destroy before I actually got it right!
Wow, Can't wait to try it out! Thanks for sharing!
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing..
I thought everybody done it that way
Wow, that's just too easy. Thanks for sharing.
this video and the one on squirrel skinning should go into the HOW TO archives.
Widoweater, you beat me to it. Except they'd need to be sure and actually copy the video for storage and not just the link as the link may dissapear at some later date.
That stuff is some seriously useful how to!
wish i had found this out a long time ago.....thats too cool. i cant wait to get some rabbits to try out
why won't the video work for me? It just loads to a blank page.
With you guys raving about it I wanna see it now.
I'm assuming the rabbit was gutted first?
Hard to tell as it lQQks like there was no gut opening at the stomach area...
Up this way we use the same technique for dressing out mosquitos. Tried it with black flies but there wasn't enough meat to bother.
I asked about how to skin rabbits on a thread once and you should have seen all the different ways there are! Some of them were pretty darn funny!
After a good hunt this morning ending with 4 rabbits on the tail gate of the pickup I gave it a try. First advice do it RIGHT AFTER the bunny is down. The most recent bunny went the easiest! A small game bag for the cleaned rabbits to carry with you as you hunt would be the ticket. The first try was more than a good laugh for my buddy! However by number 3 it went fast! That being said I must admit I will be going back to my knife... not that this is not an AWESOME way to clean a bunny... but I feel like I left a bit too much meat in the bone pile.
SPECIAL NOTE!!! When your bubby is done laughing his butt off at you the first time... Do what i did! On number 2 I pulled the bunny TOWARDS his smart a_ _ and the rabbit got its revenge!!! :-)
Good hunting!
Awesome! I will definitely be trying that the next time I get a rabbit! Who'd have thought it would be so easy! Thanks for sharing it with us.
That was so neat! Had to watch it a couple times to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing
No Rabbits.....
There is a section of the Trad Gang DVD that shows a slightly diffrent way to skin and clean rabbits. It is also very quick and easy to do. I tried it out and had no problems at all.
I use a pair of game scissors only when skinning rabbits. Pull up some skin along his back in the middle of the body, make a cut, then slip your fingers into the cut, and pull evenly in both directions, towards the head and tail. The skin comes right off. Then cut the head, feet, tail off with the scissors. Then zip open the belly and gut. You can do a limit of rabbits this way in 3-5 minutes easy.
i can't load the video either... how about a description?
ttt this should go to the archives if possible really cool has anyone here tried this??
That is pretty cool. And with the skin and head intact like that....think of how you could mess with other hunters!! :D
Excellent, now all I need is a rabbit or three!!!!!!!!
good old canadian know how. You see we are sooooo lazy we will find the easiest ways to do anything. Case in point the drinking hat...keeps your hands free holds two beers - c/w straw so you get drunk faster and cheaper and with your hands free you can keep fly fishing or cut your steak while you drink.
I love newfies there are just like yukoners. they are happy abliging ppl and fun loving hard working...they just talk funny...Tee hee
Jer Bear
Pretty cool but it looks like meat that I keep is wasted using that method. I'll stick with the knife, a slit her and a slit there and peel done is just the same amount of time with no waste at all.
Might want to wear gloves when you're doing that as well. Tularemia.

I agree. THAT was cool. Makes it look darned easy.
Had to be a "trick rabbit" :D ;)
Fella once showed me his sure fire way to clean cotton tails. pinched the belly fur and tore the belly cavity open. Took front legs in one hand rears in the other and gave it a big outward thrust. Guts swung around and hit him right in the kisser. This method is way better.
My dad seen that on Michigan Out Of Doors last fall and used it during bunny season last year. Works just like that and no that bunny was not gutted before you do that. That is pretty slick!! dino
Nice!
TTT for all the Bunny hunts this time of year
Tried it today and it worked great Thanks
I was wondering about this video today.
talk about coincidence!
Thanks!
That is soooooo neat! I was shown a way to take out the guts once by opening up the rabbits belly, then swinging it fast like a baseball bat.It worked purty slick but left the skin on.I was showing a guy how to do it once and he thought it was cool,so when he tried it he slung guts all over the guy standing beside him!!! Yea we rolled on the ground laughing, learned how not to sling a rabbit though! This is a lot better way I think.
awsome - now would ya show me how to clean a 100# pig the same way
rusty
I havent tried it yet...didnt want to wear rabbit on the drive home. :D
Very Interesting!!
