Here's my problem. I have a long bow that shoots an easton 2016 cut at 29 inches just beautiful.
I have another long bow that shoots an Easton 1916 cut at 29 inches just beautiful.
I want to order some ceader arrows and I am not sure what spine to get so the arrow flight matches the alum. eastons.
Can someone with a spine tester look and see what the 2016 and 1916 spines out too and tell me what size ceaders I shoud get to match each arrow size? ( 40 to 45, 45 to 50 etc. ) I do need to get a spine tester, and I'm not exactly an expert with wood spines. If someone could point me in the right direction I would sure appreciate it. And if you have any recomendations on where I should buy the shafts I could use that too.
Also, which spine tester does everyone seem to think is best. I'm going to get one right away.

Maybe you should contact 3Rivers, tell them your type of bow and poundage and order a test kit.
They'll sort you out.
Have a look at the Morrison and ACS bows websites..... both have spine calculators.
As far as the best spine tester......there is a great engineer here on this site goes by the name of 'cupcake' he makes the best spine tester.
Thanks Tom, but I really was hoping to find out exactly what the easton arrows spined out at, at the length I mentioned and what the cross referance would be for the wood shafts. These arrows are flying so good I was hoping to get really close with the woods right off the bat.

What is the draw weight of the two longbows? What is your actual true draw length? Are the longbows center cut? What type of string, B50 or FF? Tell me these things and I will tell you what spine arrows you need. Woods are different than aluminum you may need a diff spine that what the aluminums spine at.

Here is the info you want:
2016 = 59# spine
1916 = 50# spine
If you want to convert carbon or aluminum deflection to wood spine divide 31.5 by the deflection.
For a 2016, 31.5/.531 = 59.4#

As John said 61 & 53 but that is at the AMO standard cut to 29" back of point they will spine 5# less. Order them at AMO standard.

In wood you can try 60-64 spine for comparable to 2016 and 55-59# spine for comparable to 1916. May be able to shoot either out of each bow. Just depends upon many variables which are only resolved by your actual shooting.

actually, you can get gamegetters, xx75,xx78, "Stalkers" which are very soft-but tend to spine high, the old, silver shafts are still around, ect.
