Hi Guys,
I designed and am producing a new blunt point that 3Rivers is going to market. I think you guys will really like it. It will be heat treated to 40 to 45 rockwell and really holds up well. Just make sure you keep it screwed on tight. Because it is heat treated, if you don't keep it tight and you hit something hard it can snap off at the shank. So if you keep it tight the pressure is against the shoulder and will not snap. They will be made in various weights probably 125,150 and 175 gr. and possibly heavier. I will let 3Rivers do the pictures, but give them a try and I think they will work better than anything else out there.

Sounds great...always looking for a new small game head...
What will they be called, so I can be on the lookout for them.
I call them the Spider Blunt, but I don't know if 3Rivers will use that name or not.
Boomer
Cool! When do you expect them to be available?
They would like to get them in there next catalog, so I'm going to say about 3 weeks.

PLEASE!!!! make one in 200gr.

Agreed! There's a real market for heavier, screw-in blunts. It really sucks having to pay for Judos etc & then have to buy adapters to suit :(
I agree 200 please!!! :clapper:
Ok guys,
I don't see any problem making them in 200gr. either.
Boomer
THANKYOU! I promise I'll try them out. :clapper:
I like the 200 gn too, so thanks for doing that weight.
Allan
will you also make a glue on?
I am THERE!! Three weeks huh? 1/2 doz 200 grs. for me! (I could really use 300 gr.)
What's up Boomer? Another request for 200 grains from your "next-door-neighbor" over in Auburn.
Glue on for us woodie shooters?
I'm with b.glass could use 300 gr , sounds cool
Will it kill a squirrel :bigsmyl:
I like the idea of a 300 gn blunt too because I am now using 300 gn broadheads and need to have the same weight up front to have my arrows properly spined.

Thats the ultimate test :archer:
... would it be blunt to ask what makes a blunt a blunt and different from blunts?!
Dunno whether to bunt or punt here...
Killdeer :archer:
Sounds like you better make them available between 125-350 grain. I have my woodies set up for 100gr Woody Weights and 190 points and broadheads. So a 300 would save me money.
200 grains here. Its the only reason i dont shoot blunts. it will be nice to shoot some again, will be able to save on broad heads
Boomerang..Thanks for the ingenuity. Always looking for a new adventure!! Cotton

If you want blunts for game and not stumping then maybe you might try this.
I take normal steel blunts and slip some rubber blunts over the top and get a 250gr tip that will devastate rabbits and the like.
But, they won't stick to stumps.
or even 250 gr
Ok,
Right now they will be made in screw on, but that is not to say that we can't make them in glue on. It looks like the push is to go with the heavier ones. We can pretty much make them in whatever weight you want and yes they have been tried and trued on squirrels with great results!
Thanks,
Boomer
Do we get to see a picture, or are you gonna keep us all hangin?
:readit: :readit:
I'm not sure if I will be able to post pictures until 3Rivers officially releases them.
