How much weight do I have to add to the front of an arrow to decrease its spine by 10lbs.
Also, is there something out there that can help one figure this out?
Thanks in advance,
Tim, if it's a wood arrow try an extra 1 to 2 inches in length or 160 to 190 grain heads. Flint
They are wood arrows and there ain't no adding any length to them they are cut! So that opition is out! Which leaves adding weight.
Trying to figure that out is difficult, because your trying to change dynamic spine. The only way I know to measure the dynamic spine is to try a heavier point and see how they shoot.Since your can't shorten the arrow and if you are shooting 125 gr. point,I would try a 145 gr. and see how it flys. You might have to go to 160 gr. point to decrease 10 pounds of spine. There is not as many options for glue on points as with other types of arrows.
