Tim, I wish I had one or two of his Hyaks to post.  I did find one of his Mojo recurves last summer and love it.

I think he is not making bows any longer, or??

Yep, Fred is a class act and great bowyer.

I recommend his book "The Traditional Way" for those who haven't read it!

Yes, the book is great.

Fred is also completing another book that should be a classic read about trad archery.

I had talked to Mr.Anderson last year about a Sasquash longbow he made, and he mentioned that he was no longer making bows!  Too bad!  I guess you have to retire sometime!

This one, Fred named, 'JackRabbit'. I think it was the first, prototype Hyak. Fred was planning on offering the Hyak at 64 and 66". He made this one 65".
It's sweet and just 'thumps' an arrow, right quiet like. Both are quiet even without silencers.  :archer:

I'd love to have one that's 40# @ 29" if anybody needs to move one.
Getting older but still love to shoot a sweet shooter.

Back in the '70's I had a "Anderson Big Game Hunter". Does anyone know if that bow was made by  this gentleman? There was a Anderson Co. in Michigan? It was a recurve. 58". It was a very nice bow, till I blew it up with my 31" draw. Hap

no...not Fred Anderson, from west coast.

Everyone, here would enjoy the book he wrote that Curveman referred to.
Lots of old archery history, pictures, stories, insights, of back in the day.

If anyone is interested in one of Fred's rare recurves, the "Mojo", give me a PM for the details.
