I been talking to wingnut about a new skool bow. the Dyrad take-down recurve with a 17" riser (not made yet :) ??? i'm working on him and jason ). stringwalk it off the shelf. 17" riser would have enough sight window for a sight if ya wanted one, still shooting of the shelf.
We had a lot more options in the late 70's believe it or not. ya could get a real nice wooden riser recurve 66" take down or not. Bear made a Temujin (had two, A 66" kodiac special, Ben Pearson made them, Howatt, shakespear, on and on. they would make a heck of a 3D bow today.
66" bow could go either way, to the target field or the hunting stand. Makes such a great turkey bow :)

Yep we will build it next month. 17" riser and the 58" limbs for a smoking 60" sight and stringwalkers special.

are freakin serous? that would be sooooo amazing! i love string walking, but i really dont like the metal look, and a good stringwalker bow is usalyy 66" or longer, except for the dalla. good luck, it sounds great!
deermaster1 - i gotta break it to mike and jason slowly. :) . I have hunted with a 60" recurve a lot of the yrs. I have a 27" true draw. 60" will work well at that draw.
it will be an interest experiment. I'm excited about it :)
