lets keep a running tab of deer that you see while hunting, update when neede. i'm allways curious as to how many people see hunting. i have saw 10 so far this season.
9 for me so far..
5 hunts, 27 deer...
David
I'm having a great season Ken, hunted 11 times, I have seen 14 squirrels, three pileated woodpeckers and 0 deer. Can't wait to go again...... :banghead:
David
David,
what, no BUNNIES????
David, I'm with you on this one. Seen all kinds of deer while scouting but, as soon as the season started, I didn't see a danged one of em!
Now, I'm a computer networker for the Oregon National Guard and I'll swear them suckers got some kind of modern technology that warns when the hunting dates come around! They pull a magic trick like you would see on the Vegas strip. Pooof, there gone. :biglaugh:
9 for me shot two of them and missed another :0)
Zip, Zero, nothin, natta.
19 deer and 2 times out. Hunten in Pike Co Missouri on land next to the river that didnt flood. There is a ton of food and evn more deer.
Saw my first deer tonight. 2 does and a 6 pointer.
No bunnies Ken, there are so few of them here that they are protected and there is no season on them.........
Note to self.....must move.
David
21deer and 1 coyote. 6 days
No tension even put on the string yet :banghead:
Been an awesome season so far :jumper:
In six days in the field so far:
1. Two bull moose and one black bear, all while holding a bow and no tag for any of them.
2. No deer.
And then, in the last four days:
1. A mature doe in a big swamp below me.
2. An eight point buck, at a stream crossing, within bow range.
Each of these two latter events occurred while I was holding a dog -- and not holding a bow -- 'cuz I was feeling sorry about neglecting the dog's needs lately.
Did I mention that I had the drop on the buck? And that "something" even noisier was following him to the crossing? And that both of them eventually spotted me and went back into Maine, i.e., away from where I stood in NH, without a Maine tag to my name? :banghead:
3 1/2 hunts, 4 deer, i killed 2. the 1/2 hunt was when i went out in 40 mph winds, and cut it a bit short. lol
I have hunted 1 morning and 5 evenings and have seen 29 deer 11 of which were bucks. Shawn
7 deer shot one doe,but the ruts on the way and they should be moving.
Had 8 sits so far and ZERO deer seen........good thing I like bird watching too.
Matt
Not a one. Been out a dozen times and have yet to see a deer, rub or scrape. A few tracks, a couple piles of droppings and too many moose tracks.
Jim
17 spotted so far...2 does down...cant wait till rut gets going in full swing.
I bunch in the cut corn fields, soy beans, 5 acre clover plot. Akerns EVERYWHERE. Shot a doe. Son shot a 115" 7 pt out of the clover on a wma youth hunt. Statewide youth hunt is this weekend and we are gonna wear'em out!! Looks like a lean year for the economy, better fill your freezers!!
Seen three nice bucks, several small bucks, no kiddin, probably 100 does over 15 days hunting in the stand. Thats not including the thirty or forty piling into the fields at dark every evening! Our limit is three does a day here. My two hunting age kids have killed 5-6 deer a season for the past three years, so it gives me the choice to be selective and fill the freezer.

Yesterday, hunting on a trail going into an oats patch, 23 deer came by me. 18 does and five bucks. Too early to shoot does and bucks were not big enough, although one was very close.
I've seen 2 bucks and a coyote so far.....actualy 3 bucks counting the little button buck that was still in my back yard last Sunday when I got home from hunting.
(Lisa txt me a picture of him Sunday morning telling me I should have stayed home LOL)
Been out about 15 times so far, seen 30 deer I think, hit one in the shoulder that I hope walks in range again, passed up a couple that I'll probably wish I hadn't later, seen 4 turkeys, one red fox chasing a rabbit and about a million squirrels.
I have hunted about 40 days this fall; I took a cow elk on September 16th; and I have seen deer almost every day.
In one spot I saw a nice whitetail buck; followed by a big huge HUGE whitetail buck: that found itself only missing a few black hairs. I saw four other bucks in that spot on and off for weeks. There were a half dozen does that frequented the spot too.
In another spot I saw a huge 3x3 mulie; and it is missing a few hairs too. [Gravity swells].
In another spot there is a nice whitetail I have seen glimses of - that beds with a smaller whitetail buck that has two speeds; standing perfectly still: and running as fast as the wind.
Along the river below the cabin; I see mulie does almost every day. There are 6 that follow a pattern; but it is steelhead season and the river is full of fishermen- that push the deer on an unregular scedule. There are a few whitetail does and fawns there too.
There are 5 mulie does that walk down a ridge to the south of the cabin; I don't see them everyday- more like every four or five days.
The bucks are in anyweapon season until the end of light today.
I have a doe tag for where I live that is good until the end of December; and another either sex for all of December.
Of course driving to 'town' I see deer; and elk; and bighorns. In fact I had one bighorn sheep nursing its mom right in the road in front of my truck - in the middle of September.
The bears were on the river; but I could not see if cubs accompanied them in the tall grasses; so never shot an arrow...still have a few days to go though.
That is the norm; I have seen 8 different bucks in one day this season......
I am having FUN.
:archer:
6 trips, one doe seen. I am really scout hunting right now, backing off from where I expect the deer to travel and observing. This way I eliminate various places and concentrate on the best places later in the year.
I have seen the same 5 deer in my back yard about a dozen times. I live in the country but don't hunt the deer behind the house, too many houses and barking dogs. I like to hunt in a wilderness setting. Here is a doe and three fawns behind my turnip green patch. The electric fence keeps them out of the patch.

I like to kill anonymous deer not old friends.
I hunted 7 days here in VT, saw 28 deer 9 bucks, one was a 140" 10 pt at 18 yds did not give me a good shot, I passed on 4 legal young bucks saw 3 spikes wihich are off limits anyway I would not shoot one here any how, shot a button buck by mistake and a 2 yr old 8 pt, a good season, between me, my dad and uncle we have seen over 30 bucks this season in VT and a few dandys and messed up a few good ones and I could not tell ya how many does, we have all passed on young legal bucks, a year we cannot complain about.
Hunted two evenings, saw one up at Mike's on the way out. Two in his yard when we got out.
At my house, 5 hour sit produced nothing. Got home and the headlights showed me a huge doe and small spike in my yard.
Next week I start hunting hard.
not sure how many times i have hunted (7 or 8 times) but i have seen about 50. 5 of them bucks. 1 was a very nice 8 pt. most of these were inside of 30 yards. i have missed 4 and shot 1 that i could not find. also killed 1 grey fox. i have seen more this year than i have ever seen at this time but have had some poor luck at conecting. yesterday at luch time i decided to move a stand so off i went. moved a climber about 30 yards and was climbing to cut a couple of limbs and had 6 does come under the stand all i had was a limb saw.
Just 1 doe in 7 trips, it's been frustrating so far this season. I've found a fair amount of sign, a good rub line, scrape and a few other rubs here and there but can't seem to locate the Deer. Hopefully things go better this weekend, maybe some more deer will be moving as we get closer to the peak of the rut.
2 Adirondack hunts and 5 days in Maine.ZERO deer. But I dont feel too bad, thats a lot in both areas LOL.Hunting south the rest of the season so things should turn around real soon.
16 hunts, 47 deer seen from stands, 36 hours so far on stand.
1 day hunted, 2 does seen. Season has only been open for a week though.
Not a single one thanks to Hurricane Ike.
My hunting area looks like it was bombed. Access trails in are mostly blocked and you can forget moving quietly. Several of my key areas appear deserted, no sign at all.
Really a bummer of a season so far. I guess most East Texas hunters in areas effected by Ike will have similar experiences.
up to 14 and a song dog now.
funny, was just thinking when i only hunted North seeing 14 deer would have been a great year! still love north way more then south due to the area and mountains but i sure do love to see deer! :readit: :bigsmyl:
Hunted seven times, so far chickadees,a red tail hawk, 2 blue jays and 3 red squirlls,5 scrapes and the inside of my eyelids when I fell asleep!!
12 does and fawns and one eight pointer no shots
1 Hunt, 4 deer, Gray squirrels to many to count, Red squirrels 5 minus 1 = 4 ( 1 chattered above my head way too long) Gray fox 1. Good time 1!!!
Been out 7 times and have only seen 1 doe so far.
5 days total/ 10 hunts, 8 deer seen, 2 bucks/6 does. One within range but dinked my stand with the bow and away she went. I am about average this year as far as deer seen while hunting.
6 days hunting. 8 does and 1 buck seen. 1 shot and 1 doe tagged. I've seen deer from my stand 4 out of 6 times.
I counted 37 deer this morning, none of which came close enough for a shot. I probably average 10-15 deer each day, but have only seen three bucks, and they were babies. Waiting for the rut to start!
I can honestly say I have seen several hundred wht-tails under 100yrds and have passed on at least 2o makeable shots. I've taken 5 does, a whitetail buck and an antelope buck (3 of which were taken with the St Judes bow Miss Hope)and that was in Sept.
My 12yr old son shot his 1st wht-tail buck and doe also in sept.
Kojac,
HOLLY SHEET MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared:  :scared:
Ken, he's in montana, not n.y.,big differance.
i know but still how many can say they have saw that much game while hunting? i doubt i'll see that in a life time!
Hunted 3 mid-day to dark hunts, 4 bucks (1 nice one) 14 does within 0-40 yards. Arrowed one doe and a coyote so far no shots on the heavy horns yet. Are we counting the 50 -60 deer that are out in the fields when I wander out of the woods or deer seen on stand?
Since the start of my 2008 Bow season on September 13, 2008. I have seen a total of 18 deer. 1 - 8 pointer & 1 - spike
Very slow this Year. I hunt a 13 acre plot behind my house, Since I still don't have a car I can't get to the other spots I wanted to hunt this Year. Still great time in the Woods... And I'm good till December 31, 2009 for now.
Holy crap - I dunno. Lots. Today I saw just the one buck that I should have killed (was hoping he'd stop a bit and loiter but he had other plans).
Yesterday I saw 5 that were in play (drew on a doe but passed on her because there were just too many blackberry bushes between us) and another 5 or 6 that I saw at a distance.
Counting today, we've been out 12 times since deer season opened and we are averaging seeing between 3 and 5 deer each time.
LOTS ohio is full of deer,I have been scouting for friends comming to hunt 8 to 15 per sitting lots of small bucks and some real good bucks cant wait till they get here on the 4 of nov.
10 deer in about 35 hours of hunting.
So far I have logged 60.5 hours in a treestand and I have seen 10 deer.
Hey
I ve seen 1 bobcat 1 rabbit 75 squirels 000 deer
I saw 45 deer last night while on stand. Of those 45 there were 13 different bucks not counting the one that ran into the side of my truck coming in last night so that makes 14 bucks. Oh, I also saw 6 turkeys and a bobcat.
5 hunts - 1 doe and 6 bucks but only one was a stud
up to 16 now.
19 in about 10 hunts
been out 7 times. ive seen 9 deer while in stand and several while just walking in the woods including a nice buck right near my one stand at 1 in the afternoon.
Eight trips out still no deer, today was a red tailed hawk and a woodpecker.
