Never hunted outside of Wash. and Ore. but thats not bad either, Deer and coyotes in the back yard every day, Elk hunting 20 min. from the house and 7 salmon and Steel head Rivers within 25 miles. Come to think about it what am I whining about. Going out after I get off to try and call in a coyote. [All I can hunt until late Elk Season]

Ron owns it. We all kick in for maintenance and the occasional improvement. Nope, we aren't related, just Michigan bow buddies. Ron brings the dog to keep the bears off the buck pole. :)
We all have a job, mine is to haul water, wash dishes, and occasionally hang a stand for Ron. It's the best place, ever! :thumbsup:

The new door and deck on the back of the cabin that was put on a couple months ago. It faces Armstrong creek and will a great place to sit on those nice days.

Yep...that's what it is...one of the best darn wood stoves ever made. :readit: I've had it for about 30 years, it used to be in my house. It's been in the cabin for the last nine years and has been tested in temperatures of -20* during some late December hunts. It will probably be there warming my great grandkids :campfire: ....unless Obama outlaws wood burning stoves.. :rolleyes:

I sat in a tree this morning near the house, not seeing any deer because of this damned 20 mph wind. It worked out though, I had 3 1/2 hours to plan where I will be sitting NEXT Sunday morning at ShrewHaven. Weather report last night said our camp area was to get 4 inches of snow. That would be PERFECT! :bigsmyl:

To get an invite to Shrewhaven you must talk one of the present huters to give up his slot and then barter with Ron.Now Ron, being an ole trader ain't too easy to barter with. My latest attept was order 8 new Shrew bows to keep Greg building bows with no hunting time off. It did not work as Ron said Greg needed a break from the 60 hour plus work weeks he has been putting in. I will be off Tuesday morning untill Nov 22 to hunt my place in S. Il. Just built a new cabin and I know how excited we all are to get out and hunt this year. Good Luck to all and savor the flavor. If your climbing trees don't forget your saftey belt.
