I usually ground hunt sitting in a folding chair, and rest my longbow upright against my leg. I was trying to come up with some other cheapie, home-spun idea to either stick in the ground or clamp to the chair that might do the job. So far, I haven't found a commercial option that fits my bow. Any good ideas out there?
just recently saw one that might be of interest to you... It is a pocket that attaches to your shin that the lower limb sits in (almost like the belt one they sell for the wheel bows - but smaller). That and a neck leash would be the ultimate for chair use. Dang it, I can't remember where I saw it.... :banghead:
I wonder if one of them fishing rod holders you stick in the ground would hold it up by the lower limb.
something like this one...

but I thought it was geared toward a trad bow....
Just glue or sew a triangle of cloth to your pant leg for your lower limb. Been doing it for years. It douesnt take much just enough to rest your bow so your not holding the weight of the bow while you're witing for the shot.
