Title: spine shot doe

shot a doe last night in the spine. Buried the broadhead through the vertabre.
Cool trophy! Any suggestion on how to preserve it?

if the broadhead aint dinged up 2 bad, resharpen it, and reshoot it.

boil off meat and soak in bleach water for 15 min.

the head is in great shape, but it's buried in the vertabre.
I would like to preserve it all togather. I am afraid that boiling will crack the vertabre and bleach will rust the head.

let the beetles eat it.   If you have a place to put it, out of the way...  just leave it and they will clean it up.  I have one that is very neat....  except on mine, the deer got up and ran away, only to be shot some time later  (at least a year)  by my son.

Keep it locked in that vertebra. It'll look good on the shelf. Here's one from a donkey:
