As bowhunters we have the month of Septmber....that's pretty much it. Colorado to the south has seasons on the eastern plains through the end of December. Nebraska to the east has seasons from Sept-Dec, minus a couple weeks for rifle season.
I'd like to see a late Nov through early January season. If you are thinking the same way write;

You might also try working with your state bowhunting organization on this. Generally the more voices you can lend to it, the better. Also it's better to do it in person. It's too easy to ignore emails and the like.
Good luck.
Our G & F is hard headed. I've asked them in the past about lenthening our deer seasons. They say we would kill all the big bucks because they are rutting and vulnerable.
There are also several areas in the state where the gun season doesn't open until Oct. 15. We are not allowed to hunt the two weeks prior to that. They say the deer need a "rest". Give me a break, there are other gun seasons that open the day after archery season closes. How come these deer don't get a "rest"?
Join BOW, we need more folks involved that care. There are thousands of archery permits sold every year, but our club membership is only in the hundreds.
I feel that this really needs to be in the Hunting Issues and Politics Forum....Look for it there.........vance
