Darn thing was a week old. Birthday gift from my son. The worst part is I was on private property. The only one allowed to hunt on the land. I almost don't even feel like hunting tomorrow now.
That really stinks!!!! :(

Bummer. Unfortunately, posted signs only tend to keep out the folks that wouldn't steal anything anyways.
WOW! I just can't believe that other another hunter would steal someone else's blind or stand? I had a climber stand stole about 20 years ago, I spent 20 minutes in the dark looking for the tree thinking I was in the wrong spot until I found the climber marks on the tree.
Good luck finding the culprit that stole your blind, You can put a few lumps on his head for me! Keep your chin up! It's a shame that a few bad apples can ruin the name of so many honest and law abiding hunters.
How do you know it was another hunter?
I've had a stand stolen before...leaves a bad taste in your mouth, sorry man
It may have been an anti. My friend had 4 stands destroyed-not stolen, just broken apart. Probably by someone thinking they were doing the right thing!
Sorry to hear that. A gift from your son makes it even worse.
I've had a stand stolen off private property many years ago. I would not call anyone that steals, trespasses or break the law a hunter.
Riot, you can't let them get you down. Get out there and bowhunt.
SOMTIMES "LEASED HUNTIN "SIGNS WORK BETTER.THTAT WAY THEY KNOW SOMEONE COULD POSSIBLY BE ON THE PLACE.I HATE THAT THEY STOLE IT.THEY WILL ANSWER FOR THAT.
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunatly it seems to be a common practice on state land here. Thats why I switched to climbers and just traded a hang on for an Anderson Tree Sling. I do have a pop-up but wouldn't dare leave it where I hunt.
All I can say is that it wasn't a trad hunter for sure!!!
I know it was hunters because someone saw people going into the woods near my flagging. The land owner is looking into it. His neighbor has been allowing hunters but never mentioned it. When he called her tonight about the incident he asked for the names of the hunters. She hung up on him without giving names. Hopefully I will get it back. It was hard telling my three-year-old that I couldn't take him on his first deer hunt because my "tent thing", as he calls it, was stolen. It's not even like the 200 bucks is that hard to swallow (well it is but it's not going to kill me). It's just the principle. I am still sick about it.
sad day when people steal a blind.sorry for your loss riot.
I'm sure they won't even use it! Might end up in a pawn shop though so I'd print some copies from a catalog and run them by all the shops.
Sorry to hear that.
That's why I NEVER leave a stand or blind in the woods unless I'm in it till after dark and I plan to be back before first light.
Sorry to hear that, A bubby of mune had his trail camera stolen recently too. I know how bad he feels and can sympathize with you.
Gene
that really sucks, sorry to hear that.
That stinks, that is why I never leave mine in the woods and have locks on all my stands even though they are on my own posted land. It's tough to keep dirtbags off of any land.
I CAUGHT SOME GUYS HUNTIN ON MY PLACE.I ASKED THEM WHY THEY WRE OVER HERE AND THEY SAID,"WE DIDN'T SEE ANYONE HUNTING OVER HERE SO WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT".TALK ABOUT MAD,I WAS HOT.I ALWAYS ASK FOR PERMISSION AND EXPECT THE SAME COURTESY.
SOME OF THE EXCUSES PEOPLE COME UP WITH JUST AMAZE ME.
Yep I had one stolen a couple of years back, right from my buddies back yard. Thought it would be safe set up just outside his backdoor. NOPE!! Blinds are just one of those things I don't walk away from anymore. dino
That sucks. However, that is one of the reasons I now hunt from the ground using the treeseat. It does not advertise where you are.

Only use climber stands anymore, take them in and out with me. Like Mr. Bulla, I will occasionally leave one on the tree if I leave after dark and know I will be back before first light the next morning.
I'm really anxious to try out a ghuille suit and just stay on the ground.
Since the neighbor won't co-operate time to call the sheriff. Havin yer stuff stole is a bummer ...
I know how you feel. I had a stand stolen one time and a couple of years later I was trailing a deer near there and found my lock that the guy had cut off my stand and piched out through the woods. I sure would like to walk up on a guy stealing one of my stands.
Jack
I had some stands stolen from the farm I grew up on. With neighbors you never know who will jump a fence.... Lock your stands everywhere and always pull "in" a ground blind. Thieves are usually too lazy to "work" at stealing.
I even had a 3D target stolen out of the woods close to my house. Damn thieves... Wouldn't you just love to catch them. I smile when I think of that...

It's sad these days, you can't leave anything in the woods even on private land.I take my bow in the house when I'm shooting if I have to use the bathroom even for just a minute.
That sucks!!! i went to hunt in my cousins stand he left over night on are own property fri evening an it was gone. If we could only catch em in the act there will be HELL TO PAY I PROMISE YOU THAT!! Brand new sumite viper gone
I took my blind down and left it hidden in the brush this morning when I left. Freakin thieves are everywhere. Now I'm really nervous. I hid it good though. Sorry for your loss.
Keep your eyes open in and around the area, might show up near by with the person using it. Hope you get it back.
Sorry man. That is just rotten.
Someone stole my blind today and took it from it's moors. I'd like to find this dirty bird and kick him in his drawers. But alas this coward's ran away....I think I'll go get plastered. And, hopefully, he'll get his dues...that dirty rotten bastard.
