Man I love these GN Bushbows. This is number three for me, and I still cannot get over how perfect they are for my sense of what a bow needs to be. They are so smooth, so stable, and so quiet, with a subtle beauty all their own. I really like the grip shape; it feels just right.
The specs are 62", 56#@28", osage limbs with cocobolo Dymondwood.

Jerry makes a fine bow. I just got a new 70" Traditional Longbow from him and Sharon. Gosh it shoots my 725 grains arrows really well.
My heart has always been with the longbow and this new one has me falling in love all over again!
Hey Biggie, I have one of the GN Traditional longbows too. It is 66" with beautiful hickory limbs. It is one of the finest examples of a straight limbed longbow ever, and I have shot them all. Jerry is a wizard.
I'm normally not crazy about dymondwood but I like that one.
Ghost, mine has bamboo lams with watermarks!
Beautiful bow. No handshock.
I never liked Dymondwood either because it seemed fake, but when I got a few bows with dull and uninteresting natural wood, and then got a chance to see a nice piece of Dymondwood in a GN bow, I was sold.
I've got two Bushbows right now; saw that Jerry had a 60"er with pecan veneers listed on the website.....very tempting; don't think he's made many of those.
That's a pretty bow.
Biggie, did you sell your other one?
Nice simple lines.
I flat out like it! Nice bow.
I called Jerry two days ago to tell him a got a doe with a Fieldbow last Friday night. I love that Great Northern.
I have several, well maybe more that several Great Northern bows but no Bush Bow yet. There is one in my future though.
Jack
very nice! I hope to own one some day.
Beautiful! A longbow the way it ought to be!
Very nice looking longbow
That is a beauty!!

Yea, there is something about an uncluttered, simple longbow that I find irresistible, and the GN Bushbow does it for me in a big way.
You got it Ghost Dog!!!
GN , is the bow I thinks about for 64 or 66 or longer Longbow...mark#78...Bob thats nice one...Biggie post pic of yours buddy. ty mc
Yep. Mighty fine bows. I've had a lot of Critter Gitters and Ghosts over the years. Still have one of each. Traded or sold to drop down in weight. At least one more CG and perhaps a Bush bow is on my list. I commend GN for exclusively using domestic woods, including dymondwood, in its bows. (Bamboo isn't a wood and it isn't in short supply.) :readit:
really beautifull bow,,JB
Some questions...
These are fiberglass backed aren't they? For that matter, if any bow isn't backed then it's a selfbow isn't it?
Do they have much hand shock, if any?
That sure is a beautiful bow! Like Ghost Dog said, there is something about a simple, straight limbed (maybe a little r/d, as long as it's a pretty good D shape when strung) longbow that makes my heart jump :D
Congrats!
Bisch
its the real deal!! :bigsmyl:
Always had my eyes on the bushbow - gotta like a simple longbow period.
Nice bow!

Jerry's craftsmanship cannot be beat. Excellent bows. I love his osage and shedua combos.
The Critter Gitter goes well with Cocobolo, Osage, and a Jack Knife folding hinge:)
That is a nice looking bow. I've been looking at ordering a GN for a while now. Haven't done it yet. Maybe sooner than later. All I've heard about them has been good.
Simplistic Perfection! How does she shoot? :archer:

Yeah, I confess that it's starting to get to me. Someone posted a "new longbow" post where I truly had to strain my eyes to tell the string "wasn't touchin'". I mean the limb was CLEARLY reflex in a big way. LONG recurve riser to boot. Can't we call them hybrids? I mean, why pretend? Flame on! :biglaugh:
That is a great looking bow. I have a fireball in the same woods - only after 6 years my osage has darkened up. I would like to get a bushbow someday too. It looks like they are doing the shelf a little different. Mine is more flat. - Chad
