I haven't been on for awhile. Have been busy shooting and readying my new Mohawk longbow. SO far have missed a shot on a nice eight pointer (guy poaching wiht a rifle close by) and trying to get some yotes in a bit closer (would appreciate some pointers) ;) A few weeks back Dad gave me some things. One is a vintage arrow Box from Bear Archery and another arrowbox from COLT archery. Just aged cardboard but I like them. ALong with them he also gave me what I believe is a Ben Pearson Skeleton Ferrule broadhead on a arrow and some more arrows the the super Hilbre heads. ALong with some old Zwickey broadheads (I am using them). Any place I could go that I could gain some information about braodheads and such. WOuld like to date them for my mini museum in the man cave :D Another thanks goes out to Vince at Mohawk Longbows, it is fabulous ;)Thanks for the help . Regards, Craig
There is a page dedicated to antique arrowheads. Sorry I don't remember the name but with the right google words I think it'll come up. I probably found it looking under "archery history" but try "broadhead history" or something.
Pm Faulk, or do a search for broadhead collectors under the directory. Im sure someone will help you out. Might want to change the title of your thread to pull em in though.
did work like so though - hehe :wavey:
I would need some pics and see no problem in dating your heads. I am limited with my internet time right now, but there are others who will help also.
Zwickeys can be tricky and pics need to be crisp and have something for size comparison in them. No coins please - a ruler or Bear Razorhead ;) is better
The Ben Pearson I believe is a Dead Head..
Glad you are havin fun Craig...and thank you!
Will try and get some pics together shortly ;) Your the man Vince
