Thought I'd say hello, I'm not a traditional archer yet, but am heading that way and am in the process of building my first Longbow. Which is why I'm here, I'm hopeing I can pick your brains occasionaly. I may even ask the odd dumb question, but work on the principle that its better to ask a dumb question, than find out the hard way, I.e do a dumb thing.
Cheers

I started by copying a simple Howard Hill design I found In one of his old books. It had a round belly. When I went to floor tiller it, It developed hairline cracks in the belly wood. From what I've gleaded so far, I might be better starting with a flat bow design. The timber is a Native to NZ called Tawa.
