I tried some and I like them, they fly great and hit hard but I was interested to hear what everyone else thought
I love my Sitkas, and they are hard hitting. Duane
what type of bow and weight are you shooting dagwood
I use the Sitkas almost exclusively. Gary
I use the Alaskans. Love'em!
I'm shooting a 55# Bear recurve and I use the alaskans with a woodsman broadhead
I've shot em. Their ok, still like my carbon express heritage. Still a much better flying shaft in my opinion. dino
I've used both sitkas and alaskans and liked how they flew. I can't use anything but 125 grain tips with the sitkas on any of my set-ups. It's not a deal breaker for me though.
Toughest out of the box carbon shaft I've tested.

I use them, I like them. They fly well for me, but may not for you. Gotta find what you like and stick with it.
My Alaskans weigh ~ 715 grains and fly just fine.

I'm pretty much an Arrow Dynamics guy but, have been interested in trying some of the Sitkas. I would like to shoot them out of my new Kohannah Kurve when it's done being built. It will be 64" and 45#@29". Would that be the right shaft?
I use them and am very impressed. I found them to fly the best out of all my bows. I use the alaskans. I have tried about any combination of head weight 125-200 out of all my bows from 59#'s-70#'s and have not had any flight issues at all. Plus I like the way they look!! Might seem kind of spendy but it beats buying different arrows for all my bows!!
Thanks again Rey for the alaskans, already have them wrapped and fletched!!
I like mine very much.
Wow toughest out of the box my buddy must have some bad ones, his are always breaking.
I've use Sitka's and Alaskans, really like them, spendy but tuff, I've never broken one after hundreds of shots on stumps, did break one when I missed my target with a broadhead and it hit a rock.
I've bben using some alaskans since August. I've got the brass inserts in and with 300grs up front the total weight is 800grs. They fly perfectly out of my 64# and 75# longbows. I have smashed a bunch of rocks and some hard stumps with no damage so far. I did have one break after penetrating a bear it was still hanging out of shoulder and he hit a tree on death run, arrow snapped in half. Gotta think any arrow would have done same. SO far they are the toughest shafts I've tried.
They are the top of the my list for carbon arrows. Use the "O.L." method for tuning, as most people have a tough time of bareshafting them.
They are tough, they are hard hitting, and I have not had any issues with accuracy. So as I have stated before, if any of you have them in lengths of 28 inches or longer, and not satisfied with them, I will gladly take them off your hands....LOL
Great luck with Alaskans but the Sitkas kept breaking on me.
I like the Sitkas I did go with the uni-nock with the small G nock fit my string better
Should add that I've never used the Sitkas in the testing. All the testing has been with the Alaskans, Safari and Big 5 versions. Cher uses the Sitkas though, with no problems noted so far.

thanks to all
I have found they don't take a glancing blow to a rock very well, but I don't suppose any will.
I like my Alaskans, nice and heavy.
Have had one batch of sitkas that were the toughest thing I ever shot, only broke one after 2 hits on a concrete wall, not on purpose ;-)
the next batch I had, I broke every arrow on things that would not break a cedar arrow. I will not use the sitkas ever again. i was amazed at the difference between the new and old.
