Ok, I bit the bullet and ordered a 3pc. take down long bow from Chris at Lewis Hollow Archery.
If you have seen the review on the one in the last issue of TBM it will be similar to that one with Wenge and Lepard wood riser, but I went with lightly stained curly maple for the lams. It is 50-52 Lbs @ 28" and 64" long. I'm looking forward to this one. Does anybody else have any of his bows?

There is a beautiful one at this link.

Boomer if you go on Chris's web site and click on 3 piece takedown longbows. My bow is the second one with the all grey actionwood. Like Chris said when he sent it to me " I couldn't miss with your bow Tom". Well I don't miss with it either. You'll be very happy with yours! I must add in all my dealings with bowyers over the years Chris Sparks is without a doubt one of the nicest bowyers out there. He builds a great looking and great shooting bow.
Boomer,
I own the protoype of the bow you just ordered and a one piece recurve that is as smooth as silk. You wont be sorry. They are great shooting bows that look even better than they shoot.
I am fortunate to live close to the man and even more fortunate to call him a friend.
