That would be Mike Gemind. Mike passed away on August 4th of this summer :(
Here's a post from Mike back in November of 2000 along with a link to his Shrew site.

Have said it before and will say it again, "the shrew line of bows are among the best hunting bows on the market today" and they do not get the full credit they deserve. The workmanship is superd and the finish is flawless and as tough as i have ever encountered. Shooting the shrew bows is a pure pleasure and and there is no stack at all.I have checked the draw force on several shrews and have never gone over three pounds per inch. Over the past two years i have had the chance to beat a super shrew to death on rocks, water, briers and mountain laurel. It has some scratches and nicks and still shoots right where i point it.These bows will shoot a variety of spines in shafts and put them right where you point. Im not going to sit here and try to tell you that this bow is better than a black widow, that is a decision that you will have to make. I can tell you that in most cases the shrews are quieter and smoother. This does not mean that the shrews are for everyone, they are only for the serious hunter and archer who wants the best in there equipment. Good luck, Mike (shrewshooter) If you would like more info on shooting and tuning the shrew, visit my web site
Sounds like Mike was my kinda guy!! It seems we have the same opinions in great hunting bows!!
That sucks I did not know that :(
I'll send an arrow in his memory from her in fact the very first arrow

Somewhere Mike will be smiling :archer:
Swampbuck, very nice. That's good medicine,Brother.
Geez, I'm shocked and saddened to hear that Mike passed. I really enjoyed his posts about his Shrew episodes...he had a real passion for them, not to mention a wealth of stories and propaganda :) . He's the one that first perked my interest in buying one, and I'm glad for that. The thing I liked about Mike was his opinions were usually backed up with his own testing and results...i.e. colorful and enthusiastic but not just hot air. He was a walking one-man marketing firm for the Super Shrew, lol. In fact, just maybe there should be a 'Shrewshooter Supershrew" model...that would somehow seem fitting. Sure wish I had saved some of his old L**therwall posts from years back...they are classics for those of the Shrew persuasion.
Here's to Mike. And BTW, thats a nice bow, Swampbuck.
Wow, I'm sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Back in the day I had a few email exchanges with him.
Congratulations on a great find Tom. Not many of those bows around for sure.
What a beautiful bow! All I can say is one day I'll have a Shrew.
