Hey everyone, thought I would post a few pics of a bow I made for my good friend Jim. Unstrung it is 56 inches from curve to curve. #52 @ 26 inches. Lefty. Water Buffalo horn tip overlays and FF string. Buckskin handle. This was the most challenging bow I have made in ten years of making shavings, not only because of the recurves, but a lefty at that. But , I have to say I am very happy with the results. Hope he likes it! Hope you enjoy.
Good Medicine,
LittleTree

Dang thats a sharp bend! I thought my osage curves were getting a pretty sharp bend....lol.
Nice bow. May ask what your using for a strap on the belly there?
-
Ryan, that is just a piece of aluminum coil stock, but the best thing to use is a thin stainless steel ruler.
-
Little Tree, how many bows do you have hanging on that wall? Looks like some real dandies back there! Could we talk you out of another pic or two? :wavey:

here is a couple more pics of a couple I made a ways back. This is Dan (Bowmo) drawing "Simple Satan". I don't even know if I could pull that Lefty Python bow back without looking like an idiot, it was hard enough to build it being right handed. But here is a very simular bow at full draw.
