I've heard several mixed reviews of his bows, and unfortunately, most has not been too complimentary.

Aside from that, the bow's weight and condition have much to do with what value you can place upon it.  One in excellent condition in the 50# range should fetch around $250.

I can say I have had one for sale for about a year for $150-$175 and can not sell it. I have carried to 12 states to trad events as a vendor. Plenty of people have seen it, no buyers. That would indicate my price is too high!

I have only shot 1 and that was at an old friends house years ago. I shot it 3 or 4 times but it made my head hurt it kicked so bad. Granted it was so heavy it was all I could do to pull it but man it kicked like a mule! lol

$150 for a longbow with no bites?

It must be one of those heavy poundage models with long ears, huh?   :biglaugh:

Whump Sez; A Jerry Hill bow was not made to shoot light arrows----[ or any Hill style bow for that matter]if you do you will need joint replacement. If you shoot 10 or more grains per pound weight the shock is not bad at all---I have a Jerry Hill Bamboo special that I had made in 1979 and it has taken many whitetails including one P@Y buck.  The teeth shaking hand shock is caused from trying to shoot light weight arrows and holding the bow with a loose grip. Shoot a heavy arrow and use a heal down grip and life will be good. "Sipsey" If that JH bow was right handed I would take it in a heart beat for 150   Hunt safe.

Whump sez: Go ahead and send me some pics---it is a bit heavy as I am getting older too and I am looking for lighter poundage but I am a sucker for Hill style bows. You can point them quick and if you choke the grip on the shot it will not throw it off its intended path. Let me know what you want for it to my door. Length of bow ?  and how many lams etc.       Hunt Safe.
