"Donald, where's yer trooouuu-sers?"
Mate, that's a nice-lookin' bow! Are those cane arrows? All the best this season - I hope you can sing a whitetail or two! Cheers, Ben
nice looking bow! interesting to see someone shooting 2 fingers under.
whats the story behind the camo "kilt" dare i ask
Gorgeous bow! Don't let any of these guys get to you about the camo... ain't nothing wrong with wearin' a utili-kilt.
It takes a real man to wear a kilt :D
Mech, you are right up there with that guy who thought CROCS were the ultimate hunting shoes.
How do you keep ticks off your legs? You ain't supposed to use PERMANONE on bare skin.
Of course, that COULD explain the desire to wear a kilt when you're hunting!
SAAAAWWWWWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!! :biglaugh:
Nice bow!
Ray, Crocs aren't the ultimate hunting shoe? What else do you need for setting up in the backyard?
Not touching the Kilt(Lord I hope it's a Kilt).
I have seen it all now :biglaugh:
Good looking bow. You've got an odd placement for your anchor point too.
You must be Irish... ;)
thats Scottish, I think, Pharma Dude!!!!!
Its just wrong to wear a skirt while hunting please put some pants on :knothead:
thanx fellows, i think. the kilt is a long story. being part scott and irish, i've always been facinated with kilts. i wanted to buy one of the utilikilts but couldn't afford the $300 price tag. i now design my own kilts for hunting and fishing. i killed three hogs this summer hunting in a kilt and it sure made for a cooler hunt. several of my friends have started wearing some of my designs. if you hunt in hot weather, don't knock'em until you try'em.
HOOT, MON! YA DINNA WEYAR A TING UNNER A KILT..UR DINGLE DANGLE WILL BE IN A WEE BIT (not a size comment here, dunno THAT!)OF A DITHER WHEN THE CHIGGERS JUMP ON IT, DON'TYA KNOW??? NOT KNOCKIN', IF YOU'VE A MIND TA WEYAR A TING, WEYAR IT.
ME, I KENNA BE ITCHIN' WHERE IT'LL BE NEEDIN' A SCRATCH DURIN A DAY, NOW, DON'T YA KNOW.
deet, brothers of the bow, deet and if you hunt down wind nothing knows you're there.
I saw a bit on a movie (or somewhere) that the kilt was an Irish joke. Since the Scott's always try to copy the Irish they thought it'd be fun to see them wearing skirts, so ...
Might work real nice but I couldn't bring myself to wear one for the same reason I wear clean underwear that no one is going to see. You just never know. Besides, I don't like the thought of running in the gas station with my man-skirt. I'll give it to you, you're the man!
:biglaugh:
You need a sporran, sgian dubh and a pair Ghillie brogues or it be a skirt lad. A Scotsman should know these things. :p
THAT is one fine looking bow, better send it over my way to be looked after better! I'll even wear a skirt for ya...lol.
Again mate cool bow.
AK.
I like the lines of your bow, especially at full draw. Is there a website where I can see more? Thanks...
I don't care about the kilt. That is the coolest bbo I've laid eyes on. Great job.
im the maker of this bow it is bamboo backed and bellied osage and brazialan cherry lams ,osage and pauduke overlays.highly reflexed deflexed profile,62"groove to groove.55#@28" very nice shooting bow. robustus
VERY COOL BOW.
nice bow!i wear kilts when hunting to.Keeps the sack cheese odor to a minumum.Thats what the big bucks smell 1st.let em breath boys.
jedi, you have to let that kind of stuff go.
vermonster, i'm working on the accessories. the sporran is next and i always carry three knives whenever i go hunting. i'm planning building me a sgian dubh with a antler grip soon.
the bow is a super sweet shooter, hard to believe it's an all wood bow. i also have the same bow in glass and it's a rocket launcher! it's 58#@28" but feels like 45# at full draw.
I havent see the two under English war bow draw use in a long time,, do you also use the "cloth yard" arrows. also what poundage is your bow and arrow length?
P.S. I wear R.I.C.S. too. comfortable shoe.
didn't know what the draw was called, just always felt comfortable. my arrows aren't quite a "cloth yard." most of my arrows are between 32-34". this bow is 55#@28" but i can draw up 85-90# with two fingers and a super glove.
