It's finally here! I'll be watching the sunrise from an oak ridge in Centre County. Good luck all.
Good Luck PA Boys.
Good luck guys. I'll be sitting this weekend out. Had a mishap with my bow and won't have it back till next week (hopefully). Can't wait to see some pics...Mike
Looks like the woods will be quiet on Saturday. I was figgerin on hanging out in a treestand on a Tioga County hillside all day. But I think I'll change my plans and stay on the ground. It's gonna feel good....just me....my God...my thermos....a few sandwichs....my stickbow.....and this guy. :) Good luck to all. :)

I'm starting out the season here in Virginia on Saturday, then heading to PA Sunday morning. I'll be on the Northumberland/Lycoming county line. Can't wait to get back to my old stomping grounds of beautiful PA!!
Will anyone be up in the Erie area? Plannin gon being out on Saturday, would also like to get together with tradgangers through the season for some hunts if anyones up to it.
Shawn
Good luck everyone, Ill be out in one of my spots in wayne or pike co. not sure yet but lots of nice spots, ill be still hunting on the ground.
GOOD LUCK GANG.
Good luck and please be safe.
I think I'll sit Saturday out and let the wheelies have their fun, more enjoyable during the week when woods are empty. One of the pleasures of being retired. Not sure about other areas, but here the acorns are scarce where ever I've been, could make things a little tough. Some rain predicted next week, my kind of still hunting weather.
Keep your fingers crossed for me everybody. I met a wheelie shooter who's putting me in a field by his house. We scouted last night and saw about 30 deer, many of them entering the field right above/below where I'll be posted amongst a bunch of round hay bales!
I've caught a cold this week and was miserable yesterday (yet I went and scouted anyway... :) ), I'm just hoping I feel good enough come tomorrow morning!
Very nervous...Any last-minute advice in a pm would be lovely!
Good luck to all! As for me, I'll be chasing them on our farm first thing in the morning and then packing up the camper and heading with close friends to southern Ohio to hunt the evening and then Sunday morning.
Good luck and be safe!
Rick

Watch out for dem wheely guys. :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
But seriously....don't let the pressure ruin your hunt. Kick back, relax, enjoy the day and the Red Gods will smile upon you. Good luck. :)
Sarah,
The only advise i have is:
Sit still
Dont make direct eye contact with the deer if there super close
watch the wind
breath (but not to heavy lol)
be ready- deer show up when you dont expect them
bring a comfortable seat
enjoy the surroundings and have fun
Doeboy, you aint far from me. Enjoy.
Hunting in the majority of PA is a joke.
Tedd,
Does that mean then that we are all a bunch of comedians?
Hey guys,be safe,think low,and shoot straight.
Good luck to everyone.
Craig

Ya gotta make the best of what the Red Gods send your way. Especially with the gas prices prohibiting the Ohio and NY hunts this year.
But I agree, hunting a herd of 8-12DPSFM ain't no picnic. Lot's 'o deerless days for sure. :banghead:
Jeff,
My folks live in Long pond right by the race track. Lots of public land out that way. I live in N.J., Warren county.
Yes Good Luck Guys.
