Title: Kenny M Lams for my new Zona L/B updated pics 11/2
Post by: imskippy on October 01, 2008, 02:36:00 PM
Check out these lams from KennyM. I have a new 1pc Zona R/D Longbow being built. I left the wood choice totally up to Bill G. So he calls up Kenny and says give me something crazy!! Here's the results. What do ya think? And a peek at the riser too. I'll post more when I know more. Skippy

The woods are osage and zebra wood with black phenolic. I spoke to Bill yesterday and he said it was going to be glued up by the weekend. Man am I getting anxious to see how awesome it looks when it's done. I hope it shoots as good as my Zona recurve.

Yep I had the Horne's Traditionalist that day. I think that was the only one I brought that day. When we get together again I'll let you shoot the MOHAWK and The Lewis Hollow. Two  great shooting bows as well.

Hey guys, My Zona showed up today. This thing is insanely beautiful. What do you figure I should start with for a brace height? Skippy

Tom, I haven't talked to Bill yet about the brace height. I've never owned a longbow before so this is all new to me.

Kenny, Yup. I won Bill's first ever T/D recurve earlier this year in a raffle and when Bill told me he needed a quinea pig for his new bow design I jumped at the chance to have 2 Zona's ser #1.

I'll have to get a pic up of the matching knife I built too. Skippy

Here's a couple close ups of the bow and the knife I built to match. I set the brace around 8 1/2" and this thing shoots like a champ. There's also a pic of a couple groups I shot with different arrow combos on my block.  Skippy

Skippy cheated in the raffle drawing. I was clearly favored to win..

I'm also the proud owner of the #2 Zona recurve.
