Title: Glad to be here
Post by: Jethro21 on September 27, 2008, 02:39:00 AM
Just wanted to post and introduce myself. I am a recent traditional convert and was pointed this direction by the good guys over at archerytalk.com, I have been lurking around here for a couple weeks. I am in the market for a good recurve (62-64" 45-50#) but have been shooting a borrowed recurve for a little while now. Big difference from my wheel bow, but I am finding it is really addicting. Anyway, I am glad to be here, hope to get alot of good info from the knowledge here.

Thanks,
Jethro

take a look at the classifieds, Jethro.

If it were me, I'd go slow for now...then in the spring and summer go to a couple big trad gatherings and try all the wares...pick the one that suits you best before I spent big dollars.

Pick ONE, settle on it..and learn to shoot that bow.

Do not get into the trap of buying lots of bows and selling them to find the right one unless you have big dollars and lots of patience!

I always say beware the fella with one bow- he probably knows how to use it.

Let me say welcome and take heed of Ray Hammond's advice.

Most any bow out there will shoot better than you can in the beginning. Master form and equipment set up and look around come spring.
