Yesterday I killed a chipmunk at around 10-12 yards with my longbow that I got this summer. I don't have pictures, it was more of an attention getter ;) .
Today I shot my four hunting arrows, two with Bear Razorheads, and two with Zwickey Eskimos.
These shots were at around 20 yards out of the 55# Bear Montana, which is a great bow, rugged and a great shooter. I didn't want to shoot the deer cause I was worried the BH's would get stuck, but I can hit the deer in the lungs pretty regularly(On good days, or until I get tired and my form gets sloppy). I was pretty happy with these shots, but they could always be better.

But I owe all of it to you guys and gals here on the gang, and my parents and friends. Without you guys I would not be here where I am now, with all of your advice and encouragement.
I think I'm ready for bow season, and I have a feeling it's going to be the best one yet. I love watchin' those arrows fly!
Zack :archer:

Good luck Zack

Good shooting and Best of Luck!!! :archer:
Good luck with the season!
Looks like your ready to me!!! Good luck
Thanks guys
Nice bow, good shooting, and good luck. You're ready. Deal with the shakes and butterflies after you watch the arrow pass through that deer.
Good shootin Zach, can you do that twice in a row?
Yep
At least most of the time
very good, man! you're ready.
go get 'em Zack!!! Your shooting is fine, just remember to focus on one lil spot on game-burn a hole concentrating to look at it... I've just looked at deer as whole and watched that arrow sail right over the back... but thats a lesson you learn not to do 3x in a season...
I'll keep that in mind Slasher. :D
That is outstanding young man. Very impressive.
Go get 'em!!
good shooting!
only 4 days Zack! Best of luck..
:archer:
Looking good Zack!! Keep up the good work bud!!
Good shooting! Those small varmints are good practice.
You're ready. Pick your exact EXIT hole when you shoot and you will be just fine.
I used to think "chipmunks?????" You'd have to get a bucket full to make a meal.
But then my wife pointed out our $1,500 dollar japanese maple ( we didnt pay that for it, but it grew to be that size and a beautiful shape) and the fact that chipmunks were undermining the roots by digging burrows directly under the plant exposing the taproot to the open air, and endangering its ability to survive.
A Magnus 1 took care of that nicely, in three successive nights. I deep fried the little suckers on wooden sticks and tried to eat em..but they tasted nasty!
just remember when you see him to stay cool, take deep breaths when you're exicted and wait till he gives you a good shot.shots hardly ever come the way you'd like them but they do come.don't let the excitement make you forget what you know.
bakes
do you have a place to hunt in the gh area or are you going up north to get it done??
