After seeing the thread of of one piece recurve pictures I have realized that I love the old Bears with green glass. Do any current bowyers use green glass?....and if you have any pics please post them.
It's not available anymore which is to bad. It was fast stuff.
Maybe Gordon will make some if enough of us request it. I'll look into contact info and try to post a link.
Here is Gordon Composites website. Check it out. There is and e-mail address on the contact page.

I contacted Gordon and got a quick response. Here are those e-mails:
Traditional archers very much appreciate the products that you make available to us. The quality and performance of component materials is important to us, but our bows are also things of beauty. So, some of us would like to see more color options in 'E' glass. I would like to suggest a green, and a tan/light brown.
Thank you for all that you do and for your consideration of this request.
Ron,
We brought back the light green and tan colors 4 or 5 years ago – there was little or no interest in those laminate colors so we quit making them. Although there may have been a few guys like yourself that would like them, the low market interest didn't justify production. I will send your suggestion to a few of our distributors and ask for their input. Things may have changed and they would be the best ones to ask
Hey guys, do you get any requests for these colors? Do you think there would be if we offered them again?

So...
Maybe we should harrass Bingham, etc.
Brandon,to peel the plastic try placing a piece of tape on the edges, corner to corner, on both sides of each end and pull them apart. Like opening a ziplock bag. Maybe placing them in sunlight for a little while will make the plasitc cooperate.
I'm as green as the glass that you have them!
It's a bummer, Bear's trad line has really lost quality, it seems they don't really care that much about it anymore. JMO

So I was just brainstorming ideas and I was wondering if someone like Bingham Projects would be willing to order enough pieces for Gordon to make a one time run of the stuff if enough of us contacted them. I am assuming that most bowyers do not use them as their supplier...but maybe I am wrong or in this case it would be worth it. I would assume that Bingham's orders enough glass from Gordon that they might have a little pull. Maybe it is easier to just go to Gordon's then try to go around them. Just an idea I thought I would throw out there.

Ron,
I guess we were thinking alike...you just type a little faster than I do
Jon
Brandon,
Just for fun and to get a rough idea I will start a poll here and see what we get. With all of the beautiful veneers available maybe there isn't very much demand. I would think that as much as people seem to appreciate the older bears they would also want replicas or similar bows..but maybe they like them for the nostalgia.
