I think it probably is, but to me the deer in the video has longer tines....what do you think?

Agree-Longer tines in the video. Hap
Tough call,, but I believe it the same buck,,Frank
Definetly longer tines in the video. Good luck on those Curt!
After watchin the video about 30 times, i'd say yes. At the very end did you notice G4's on the video buck, or did i just stare too long?
Looks like the same deer to me, Curt. The picture shows the deer facing you , which to me is the hardest angle to judge anything about a rack. The G2 on the left main beam is a long tine and shows up nicer in the video than the picture.
By the way, i didnt mean that 4's would make it different, you cant tell in the still picture anyway. Just wondered if anyone else saw the same thing
Oh I know he's got G-4's ;)
Here's a still of the video buck....

And a close up of the still pic buck.....

That's not the same deer...
David
Nope. :bigsmyl:
I'm with Killy!
Kurt, LOL, now you post the worst possible way to judge a rack (straight on) vs. the most flattering (from the back at an angle). Why don't you go shoot the bad boy and see if the pictures stop. I still think it is the same deer.
Gregg
Different Buck. I could easily miss either one. :) Lin
video buck has longer G2's than his 3s. Picture buck looks to have close to the same length 2s and 3s. Different bucks imo.
Dave
Curt, the best way to tell is to shoot one and see if the other one shows up. :biglaugh:
Hes a "nuther" buck than the still I believe. If you tell me exactly where hes located I could tell you better.
Differnt deer fer shur.
The right side G2 is the give-away, to me anyway.
Two different deer in my opinion
Curt, not a problem I'll help you out,we can sit 100 yards apart if we shoot one buck they were the same " sound like a deal" LOL.......ED
I'm really starting to think they're two different bucks...
Video buck seems to have longer points and better mass than the still pic buck....Still pic buck seems to be a little stouter in the body. But we all know pix and video can be very deceiving...
I have the camera in there now and it's set for video. It's been there for a week and a half now. Probably won't get to check till Sunday. So hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this soon.
Thanx guys
I think it is the same deer and I am not even judging that by the rack, look at the body and the almost mane he has down his neck. Either way the buck or bucks are shooters. My question, and I ask because I know you know, is it the same buck? Shawn
It's the same deer the rack just looks diiferent because of the different agles
I'm going to say different deer, the still pic deer looks to have a heaver body and neck. Just my uneducated opinion
Well I'm finally convinced I have the answer......
I've had the feeling it was 2 diff. bucks and I got this video a couple weeks ago...still wasn't sure because the video wasn't convincing....but it looked to me like a straight 8.....
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/th_openseason024.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/?action=view¤t=openseason024.flv)
But then this past week I got this video(It's better on my home computer than it looks here) and could easily see that it is indeed a big clean 8 pt....so yes, there is indeed 2 diff. big bucks! 10 something pm heading north.....
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/th_openseason048.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/?action=view¤t=openseason048.flv)
The next morning he came by(heading south) at 7:06am.... First time I've gotten him while it's light enough to shoot!!!!!
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/th_openseason049.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v77/Guru39/Trail%20cam%20pix/?action=view¤t=openseason049.flv)
Problem is....I simply don't have any time to hunt this spot with my work schedule and it's killing me!
In that daylight video you can see he's walking fast, like he knows he's late getting back to where he spends his days.....
Looks like you have them both pegged pretty good. Good luck.
Different deer. Don't look at the antlers (I know, that's hard). The still shot deer is an older buck. Note the heavier body, pot belly and slight sway back. The video buck is lighter of body, younger looking. Okay, and if you do have to look at the antlers, the tines are longer on the video buck.
Either one would suit me just fine!
Hope you get a chance to spend sometime at this stand Curt. Personally I would take either one if given the chance.
Nice pictures. Hope you can get him.
Curt, I have an idea you should shoot one of them and see if you still get the other on film  Or you can shoot one of them during bow season and the other with your bow during gun season, then compare the two.
Not the same deer!! Both are good lookin bucks!!
