As above I just wanted some opinions from you guys that have tried both the dyna 97 and the 8125.I have been using the 8125 and think it is great but is harder to get here in Auz and thought the 97 may be worth a try if it is as good.

I myself think D-97 is quieter and just makes a nicer string than 8125. I have shot nothing but D-97 for the klast 5 years or so. Shawn
I have a 8125 string that came with my new bow this spring. It served me well and I didn't think it was very loud. Recently I started making my own strings. I built a D-97 padded loop string for my bow. I lost 2 F.P.S. but the bow is considerably quieter!
My string is 10 strands of D97 with the loops padded with 8 strands of Dacron.
The 8125 string is 14 strands.
D97 is my preferred string,I find it quieter then 8125 and it cost less.I believe they are the same material,just D97 is slightly larger diameter.And here in the states D97 is alot less costly.And D97 you can get in 375 ft rolls and 1/8# and 1/4# spools.Here a 1/4# spool of 8125 cost about $12-$15 more then a 1/4# spool of D97.A 12 strand of D97 is strong enough for upto a 100# bow,I use .024 halo serving to give me the same nock fit for all my bows from 50# to 83#.Just a combo that works for me.I still like to pad my loops,I think that hleps to make the string quieter.
